I don't know why, but that 'EVERYTHING YOU THINK IS TRUE' comment seems sarcastic to me. hmmm Maybe it's a stab at how the article is based on nothing but rumor.

I got two sides... and they're both friends.

I dont think that she would put something like that on there without clarifying it, creates false hype and makes her look unprofessional

Short twitter 'interview' revealed 'First Stop London' when asked if there would be a full US tour. Let's hope it's true!

Ooh some smaller venues would be a real treat and would add a unique dimension that would be in keeping with the Prince movement. ...I can't wait cool

This is very exciting! Saw the newspaper article today... If it's going mainstream media I'd say an announcement soon. 3RDEYEGIRL twitter page says 'Astral traveling until:1/ 7/14 and then: ~!@#$&*()__P(*OLI&UY^%TR%EWGTW!@#$%UY!!'
Maybe there'll be some juicy news on 8th?

I actually asked Kiran to please make the tickets personalized this time around!

England has some of the largest second hand market for tickets and I am sure

Prince's tickets, when ever , where ever, Will be hot tickets for the scalpers.

I really hope prince's crew is reading this.

Do not let this go down like Stockholm last year, where most fans had to deal with blown out prices for tickets because most of them went to scalpers in a matter of minuets.

If pearl jam can do this for years, all major artists should do the same.

If the fans won't press prince's managers about that, It won't happen.

I'd imagine the cost of implimenting something like that would probabaly not make it feesable for them and would increase the cost people would pay int he first place to cover it, As far as the promoter is concerned as long as the tickets sell out, they have done their job and made their money. Which is why there isnt really many events it is done for.

It's a shame, but true.

I had tickets last time he did the residency at the O2, and couldnt go, So i put the tickets on buy it now for face value on ebay, I hate the way ticket touts operate, and as a fan of any artist refuse to go along with anything to make money off the back of other fans.

Are you implementing Prince doesn't give s@#t about his fans and only go for the big $$$ ?

That's absurd smile

Seriously, I don't think this should be that expensive.

All it takes is to get people to either print-at-home their tickets, Or collect them at will-call with an ID.

Yes i know it's not perfect ,and people can scalp print at home tickets,But i would not buy any e-ticket from a scalper\second hand site as it is too dangerous.

So this should tone down the problem a few notches.

It would be great if the NPGMC pre sale would come back alive, But knowing how Prince go these days, this is only whishfull thinking unfortuantlly.

I would love to see him do what Louis c.k has done to crack down on people scalping his tickets:

"Louis CK Shows Music Industry How Direct Ticketing Defeats Scalpers [100K Tickets / $4.5M / 2 Days]"

http://www.hypebot.com/hy...lpers.html

It's all a matter of how hard you want to help your real fans get their tickets...

Yeah on paper it is a great idea, Not saying any Musican doesnt care about their fans, but they sign a contract with the promoter and get paid a set fee, regardless of how many tickets are sold or for what price, they still get the same. After this the promoter sets the ticket prices to cover the artists fee, cost of promotion, and their profit so eitherway no matter what tickets are sold for the musician will only get the amount they are contracted, so touts and things are not really their problem, its the promoters problem, which again, as long as the tickets sell out, they still get their profit.

So in theory, the issue of touts is one of them situations, where the promoter can think, they can lay out an extra cost to combat it when it doesnt really effect them, of they can just let it happen, which do you think they would rater do? haha.

It's the world we live in isnt it, people are greedy and constantly trying to make money on the back of others, sad

You can sit and do nothing about it,

Or you can be like:

Pearl Jam , Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Paramore, KYLIE Minogue, and others

Who did take some steps to make their fans get tickets in reasonable first-hand prices.

When this is true to celebrate his 35th anniversary, i hope he will be playing just only his own songs. Im not waiting for Stevie Wonder or Rihanna songs, or from whoever. And even more, when performing live on stage, play the songs as they were recorded in the first place. No new arrangements. Im not fond of his current band too. Yes, i know. But what can i do, i'm an old-school fan. Just pre-1992. After 1992, it became worse and worse. Anyway, let's hope more countries will be added. And large venues please. It's a concert, not a jam-session held in front of 300 people. You'll hear me, P???

Hopefully it will eventually all end up like that. We can hope anyway.

What gets me is, there is a website called Get Me In, This is owned by Ticketmaster, and openly sells tickets with a mark-up on them.

Cant help but think maybe ticketmaster sell a number of tickets on there themselves. Maybe thats just me being Cynical?

Unfortunately Ticketmaster+Live Nation embrace the scalpers instead of fighting them.

This whole situation is really messed up and we, the fans, are paying the price.

That is why THE ARTISTS themselves should be in control of ticket prices ,and demand they will be personalised.

It can be done.
