As a fan living in the Twin Cities, I am majorly on the fence about this one. Here's why:
1. 2AM doors open? Yikes. That's enough to wreck sleep for the weekend, and into next week. I got kids, man.
2. Is Prince gonna play? I assume that he will, but I have been to enough "dance parties" at Paisley Park to know it sometimes is just that. For $50?
3. Not to be a snob, but now that major outlets have advertised this, it's gonna be a crush of people. In pajamas. I got my Batman pj's just in case....
What about the rest of you local MN regulars? Going or not?
[Edited 10/18/13 12:27pm]
I'm going. I can handle the 2am. Going with the assumption that he will play. Hoping that it being advertised as a "dance party" for $50 will deter people from going. The crowd a couple weeks ago was too much! Also saw that Shelby J will be in North Carolina to sing at her high school...so that's a good thing! TRUE BLUE |

I havne't seen Prince perform since 2004 in Milwaukee. With the party being announced on local TV, can any locals help me out with a time when I should arrive to make sure I get in? |

It's a 5 or 6 hour drive to get to Chanhassan from Milwaukee. Worth it for the chance that he may play? |

The show at Paisley Park was F*CKING awesome! Started out as dance party. Just like in the 90s, a ton of wallflowers just standing there and staring at an empty stage. They were serving pancakes! Then Danielle got on stage and talked about the video for Breakfast Can Wait, along with the choreographers around 4am. They showed the video, then played at least 4 remixes. This is what I can remember from the show, wasn't taking notes...
Let's Go Crazy Reloaded
Chaos and Disorder
Endorphinemachine
She's Always In My Hair
I Like It There
The Sweeter She Is
Purple Rain
Crimson and Clover
Plectrum Electrum
Guitar
Fixurlifeup
Stratus
The Max
Bambi
It was basically a 3rd Eye Girl show, no horns, no backup singers, ...like I like it! TRUE BLUE |

Is he supposed to write only about a 55 year old singer all the time who hasn't released an album in 3 years? If he did, his site would cease to exist. |
