Ditto

Will be interesting to see how many fans turn up, with the short notice and $50 donation, though if I was close enough, would be there with bells on!

I'm sure more than snuff will...PP is big but not immense...there's enuff lead time for enuff people in the region to get there and and respectably fill it if not actually fill it.

yeah, for sure! $50 is reasonable and if I could drive there (wich I can't, cause I don't even live in the US) I wouldn't want to miss it. Now somebody has to give me a detailed description of the show on sunday, please?? smile

I'll be driving 3.5 hours from Iowa for what will hopefully be my first Paisley Park show. If anyone has some tips on what time to arrive and possibly some public parking areas close by please PM me.

Thanks!

WOW...Have a fabulous time for all who are blessed to attend and experience the fun, friendship, fellowship, musical ecstasy, sweetness, romance, excitement, pleasure, satisfaction, love and joy of it all at Paisley Park!!!

One of my goals has been to get to the purple mother-land (Paisley Park) and see him preform. I so love Minneapolis and have had incredibly happy Prince and personal memories there that evoke smiles from me every time I think about the city. But the mother-land wasn't open for visitors when I attended in March.

I would love to experience Prince out of the country and always always (did I say always?) wanted to enjoy, absorb and get the feel of Paisley Park. I met a portion of my bucket list of a hot after party (BB Kings Chicago), volunteer for a Prince Love4OneAnother/community empowerment event (Welcome 2 Chicago's Rebuild The Dream Village collaboration @United Center) a and the personal feel and energy in a small/intimate/venue in New York (City Winery) but this place still eludes me.

Ahhhh...So many impromptu concerts..so little time to plan. Even with a airline credit, the expense is too much too soon for me. But as much as the inability to plan frustrates me, I'm learning, I kinda dig the spontaneity of it all. These occurrences are definitely Not good for my budget but Prince's sometimes seemly oblivious "let's have a concert today, tomorrow or next week " mentality announcements pushes the excitement envelope for me...and I kinda like that...the musical escapes and escapades actually soothe me and create an atmosphere that invigorates me.

SOOO..U guys have a wonderfully magic time. But for ever one who can and will..Peace and B Wild....Enjoy

Was it good 4 U?
Was I what U wanted me 2 B?

Hello, I am just a lurker around here, but I was seeing if any of you can give me any information you might have. Like all of you, I love Prince and his music. I live in Madison,WI and will be driving to see my for PP show. Will this sell out, and if so how early should I try and get there? I went to MN before to just look at this but can't remember if there is parking in the area or not. Any other information you have would be much appreciated.

I doubt this will sell out, assuming they will be doing the show in the soundstage area. There is a parking lot, but no more than a 100 spots. You can't park on the streets anymore either. They are going to have a shuttle bus running from Lifetime Fitness, which is just down the road from PP. The last show he did out there in July, they used the soundstage area and it was no way near full. That show wasn't "officially" announced ahead of time, though. The one back in 2009 was officially announced a few days ahead of time and was 40.00. It was said that show would start at 10:00. I went out there around 6:00 to get tickets, but they said if you bought tickets you couldn't leave! So I left and came back at 9:30 and was able to get in no problem, no line. It's hard to say how many people will show up. Local stations here are saying Prince may not perform, only the NPG. That might turn a lot of people away. No age restrictions, as far as I know. Someone I knew took their young daughter to the last show. Use the restroom at the last possible spot, there are no restrooms around if you are waiting to be let in and have to go. Bring a coat and maybe an umbrella.

thanks for the info. I'm banking that the early start no drink no cuss means I'll be able to get my daughter in. But I'm going to get there early enough that if I have to take her back to the hotel id be good.

anybody with a suggestion for good hotels for $100 or less please speak up. Doesn't have to be in Chanhassen Eden prairie, but on 494 would be good.

Dreams are meant for dreamers and therefore they never lose. A dreamer can always count on their dreams and imagining them coming true. If one wanted to really be there but still there would be no way - that one can still dream of hearing the magical sounds all around them no matter where they might STAY. I live thru your eyes for those who are there - PLS GIVE A REPORT ON HOW U FELT HEARING HIS MUSIC - THANK U IN ADVANCE!
