I didn't catch tonight's, but all of the livestreams that I have been able to see that were actually live concert footage have had really pathetic audio and video quality.
As far as I'm concerned at this point, watching Prince play (even in good quality) is only marginally interesting, at best. I just want to hear the concert in good quality. I mean when the bootleggers are consistently putting out better quality versions of full concerts I'm not understanding the purpose of a couple of low-quality snippets here and there.
And the bootlegged versions are (as much as I appreciate them) not good enough quality for me to listen to. Either I'm just too old, or too spoiled, or his live music just doesn't interest me in nearly the same was as it used to (or likely a combination of all three), but I just can't bring myself to listen to a live performance that isn't soundboard. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.
