Curaçao is an island in the southern Caribbean Sea, off the Venezuelan coast. The Country of Curaçao, which includes the main island plus the small, uninhabited island of Klein Curaçao, is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Well, you are right ... Cuacao is part of The Netherlands or rather officially "Kingdom of the Netherlands" ... leftovers of the Dutch colonial past. The Islands are though more or less autonomous.

Big difference: not a part of the netherlands, its a country that is a part of the kingdom of the netherlands. Other former collies in that area ( the Dutch Antillen) are considered municipalities of the netherlands.

Yeah... I guess the dutch language on the website confused me... only realized due to this thread, that it's only part of the kingdom of Netherlands and not actually in the Netherlands.

I allowed mine to expire.

Haven't travelled anywhere outside of the USA since 1997, so it wasn't a priority.

Man, if I had at least had 30-60 days notice I would have certainly have planned my summer around this incredible opportunity of the Curaco North Sea Jazz Festival, even if I had to attend alone. I always keep a passport and would have loved and anticipated the adventure....now ...this is what I call a vacation!!!! sun

If it was 10 years ago and not that short notice I might have gone there as well, my bf at that time and I always had planned to go to the ABC islands one day. Nowadays going anywhere in the Caribbean would be way too painful for me because all the personal memories I have having lived on a Caribbean island for a while. But I am sure it's an amazing experience to see Prince overthere.

With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

I hate to admit that I'm old enoguh to be a huge fan and fortunate enough that I am able to make the trip. I've been to numerous shows, but an island setting should be interesting. My guess is that there will be more shows back on the mainland through the fall and winter that should be easier to get to.

Prince and an island in the Caribbean - sounds like bliss, the minor issue of money really shouldn't get in the way!! lol
