A "rumour" had been going around that Prince might be playing at the Interlocken Music Festival in VA this September....

Well, I work for a company that is involved in the festival...and I just heard that an offer was made to Prince to perform backed by the Roots! Sadly though, I heard that negotiations fell through due to the price tag.

Damn! Imagine Prince playing right down the road in a field by your house! Almost....

backed by the Roots?? this would have been bad.. Roots are not funky nor rock..

not to mention we have seen Roots backing too many artists to name.. THere's nothing special with an artist being backed by the Roots at this point

Prince price tag starts at $2m and I highly doubt he would be backed by the Roots.

I heard that he was "only" offered $750,000. Mumford & Sons turned down $1mil.

I don't know....Prince could be backed by whats left of KC's Sunshine Band and I'd be there!! lol
