Party at Paisley Park tonight? How much $$$ to enter?

Sorry to be blunt, but I gotta know if anyone has solid info. Did anyone go last night? Mods shift this to concerts thread if need be.

No solid info yet on time or price. Livestream for band rehearsal just started, there will be a dance party later, that's all that's been public so far.

It's the first stream I've caught. I was listening to Robin Thicke and kept wondering why I kept hearing Days of Wild in the background. lol

Cool. Thanks for the info. I live in St. Paul, and would hate to miss if some Paisley event does happen.

I'm surprised no one posted much about this show. It was AMAZING. I got out to the Park about 10:15. And it looked dead but once I turned up a side street that was where all the fams were hanging out. Word was that the Park would be opening up around 11:30 so I just hung out and chatted with folks until then. Around 11:00 folks started lining up at the gates and sure enough about 11:30 or so they let us in. Admission was indeed $10, $20 if you love music. OK.. I do love music but I felt fine paying the $10 considering what I paid for the Dakota and Myth shows I attended this year!

Walked right in and right up to the front of the stage. Set up for huge band. Horns were all on stage getting ready. 3rd Eye Girl was too. I swear there were 25 players there with all the horns, vocalists etc.

By my watch show began at 11:51 PM and ended at 12:46

Setlist:

People Pleaser .
.
Ain't Gonna Miss U When U're Gone . .
F.U.N.K. . .
Dark .
Something In The Water (Does Not Compute) .
Courtin' Time (instrumental) . .
Get on the Boat
We're A Winner .
I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You) .
Satisfied . .
I Don't Want Nobody To Give Me Nothing (Open Up The Door, I'll Get It Myself) . .
Housequake . .
The Jam . .
The Bird
Jungle Love . .

The Glamorous Life

Prince played no instruments but sang, and danced and smiled and joked and conducted the band. He seemed relaxed and happy and energetic. Really a fun time. And great to be back in Paisley Park once again

Just read Dr. Funkenberry's report and was reminded that Get on The Boat was played as well. I missed that before.

I was there! It was so fun. Prince's voice sounded the best it's sounded in quite some time. It's nights like those that make me so glad I live in MPLS!

Not sure how many people, but the soundstage area wasn't even 1/2 full. Maybe a 1/4 full.

Considering there was no public announcement of a show, there was no guarantee there would even BE a show (it was billed as a "dance party" which usually just means a DJ night and if Prince comes out, hey, bonus), there were no door times given out and no prices were known till you got there, I think filling it up even halfway is pretty damn good.

Honestly, if you weren't a diehard fan you wouldn't have had any way to know it was happening.
