Ewok's Party

So it looks like Prince is playing with the Ewok's at George Lucas wedding party this weekend eek ....

http://www.nme.com/news/prince/71149

its a real shame that Glastonbury is happening this weekend and Prince would rather play at a wedding party, he's always been rumoured to play Glastonbury and it looked close to him signing up this time, I really think it would be a massive boost for him to headline a night, the fans would love his show, especially as he's rocking it up at the moment.

Glastonbury is the ultimate festival, with real music played by real musicians, he could even play one of the smaller stages and bring the house down, would bring his music to a whole new generation and he'd get great coverage.

Chic rocked the house last night, would love to see Prince on the same bill funking it up.

If he did play Glastonbury then only the people who had already bought tickets would get to see him.

Wouldn't it be better to have UK gigs that Prince fans could buy tickets for?

Glastonbury is a one off, so it would be really good for the Glastonbury crowd who would not normally goto a Prince gig to get to experience him, its not instead of UK Prince gigs.

I was just commenting really thats its a shame that he's playing a private party for George Lucas, where Prince fans can't attend (though i heard he played a club afterwards?) rather than playing to 100,000+ music fans at Glastonbury and showing them what he's about, they were blown away by Chic, so imagine Prince funking it up.

If you pay him, he will come.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Its shortsighted by Prince that he see's the $$$ from Lucas as better than the coverage/boost he would get from the Glastonbury fans and TV/Media coverage.

I'm sure Glastonbury pay well enough, probably not as much as Lucas, I guess we are all used to these crazy decisions by Prince.

I agree with you on that but I just dont think he can be bothered

He could produce one of the greatest Glastonbury performances if he decided to play

Michael Eavies has already said many times he would love to have Prince at Glastonbury
