This is my story from the purple texican himself..... Hi guys, first of all , I was glad to meet mattydork, gmcb, and Jesse, which I think he's everlasting now, it was great meeting u guys. I also met sum more cats out side of the prince.org site. 2 cool cats named Jess and heather from boulder co. And Nicole and Blake " blake not sure of being a fan until may 13 show at 11:30" from ft. Worth Texas, and Kelly from the new jersey area..... All u guys were awesome to meet, and had so much fun .. Our journey started friday evening, we drove to Austin tx. From San Angelo tx. To catch our flight on saturday morning at 6:40 am landing in Denver at 7:50, from there the purple texicans were in town. Our day was full, even tho tired, we enjoyed the art museum , 16th mall, and cherry st mall.. And somehow we even ended up at a tattoo parlor thanks to a local taxi driver. Long story short, by the end of the evening , my daughter was tattooed . Nothing else for u smarty pants! It was a great experience . Best tattoo parlor is illumination-tattoo on broadway. Check it out !! Next day on Sunday was the day! It was mothers day! And it was prince day! Sad thing was , when I booked the shows or show" tell u that later" I didn't realize it was mothers day weekend! But it was done and set. We show up at the ogden theater around 9:30 AM . YES 9:30 AM. WE MET the coolest cats, Jess and Heather. They were there since 7:30 AM. WOWWWWWWW. THE FUN STARTED FROM THERE, the girls , Jess and heather made it so much fun, they danced, sung, and played prince jams all day. We also met another set of purple texans from ft worth, Nicole and Blake, 2 more cool cats. From there time traveled fast, and I mean FAST!!!! With all that said and done , we " being me , my daughter, Jess, heather, and Nicole," got first access, wrist bands, and to the first and second shows, we got front center stage. Myself being right center front of the man that I have seen in Texas , and in Vegas a total of 21 times, but never , NEVER, in front of a legend 2 feet away. it was worth the wait in line and some. I could not believe my eyes when those curtains opened. First show, I did not expect to see him that close, even tho I was right nearly on the stage. I cannot express my words. I've never in the the 20plus shows I've been too, experience what I witness. It was kinda like prince would look at me like I was a weirdo, " maybe a pimp" being that he would look at the girls next to me , one being my daughter, and thing that. It was weird, I couldn't seem to get excited , or loose control... I was in total shock, being that after all this years, all the high priced ticket scalpers, I was just simply in awe, seeing prince that close for the first time in my life performing. Yea I've seen him at after party's close, but performing , never like that. Watching that man that close , simply PRICELESS!!!! My daughter had her 18th birthday, tattooed, we got front row to prince both times on the 12th, my daughter also caught a guitar pick from the man , plus the guys we met outside, gave her a prince concert poster....... It was a weekend we will never forget. Thanks again to Jess, Heather, Nicole, Blake , mattydork , Kelly, Jesse, and the promoter guy, never got his name, but he made it possible for us 1st five to get wrist bands again, and of course PRINCE AND 3RD EYE GIRL for a great sho, and especially for playing " sometimes it snows it April " , that made. All shows of shows ...... Thx Prince!!!!! All I know is your talent , truly all, and somehow, I have much love for u and past,,,,, I can just imagine what u go thru .... stay strong!!!
