So...it looks like it'll take longer b4 we get an announcement and as always take it as a "2 b confirmed" until concerts/ticketsales r officially announced.

And now it's cancelled:

2m

Well, that’s a bummer. We were all set to host a pretty amazing set of shows, but it wasn't meant to be.

Does a prince gig ever going to be published in a normal way?

It all ways seems like his booking is done by a 10 years old smile

Why can't he just plan ahead like a normal act?

Just take a look at Bruce Springsteen site for example. It has a huge tour going on, every single show has a link for buying tickets, all planned way ahead.

The music and arts festival in sweden , where prince suppose to play, hasn't published it's program

or prices when they start the ticket sale in 10 days.

I bet our guy is responsible for the mess smile

The Musicology tour was scheduled/announced/promoted/advertised in a "normal" way. We knew when/where shows would be months in advance. Normal working folks could actually make plans to go and obtain tickets. What a concept!! shrug

Well yeah...but Musicology was a tour visiting huge venues, so I guess in order 2 sell those tickets they needed more advance time.

I remember that tour well.

As a NPGMC member you could also get front line tickets...those were the days smile

Side note - I was told that prince is not to blame regarding the Stockholm festival luck of info.

So i take my criticism back, In case he reads this smile

Most major artists on club tours book shows 3 months to even over a year in advance. Prince could care less if it affects ticket sales or not. Some of the Welcome 2 America shows in the Carolinas had half empty arenas with only a few weeks notice. The poor people in the south dealing with the recession had to pay huge ticket prices....he goes out west to LA for the rich folks....and tickets are $20.

I love Prince, but concerts and promoting them and how he sells tickets is really really bad. Musicology was handled by a real promoter with real professionalism. Prince is going the cheap route this time.
