Sounds like they plan to have you at another concert; wouldn't be hard since he's planning a West Coast tour for April and you're in Texas. How exciting!

Yes, you're right that it wouldn't be cool to hint that you want things, and it's good that you didn't forthright ask for a ticket to SXSW. I think if you started getting "demanding," it'd turn him off.

I was thinking though, that I totally get while he chose you and I would have too if I were him, but I hope he knows that all of us here have a lot of love for him, even the ones who are more sarcastic, critical, and perhaps less genuine/"innocent" than you. I think that's why everyone (even the sarcastic, critical ones) are so happy for you - because you are an ambassador for the genuine appreciation we feel but do not always express. Of course he'd choose to meet you as opposed to an imago or vitriol, but you represent them too, really.

So I'm glad you were able to convey to him the appreciation we all do have, and I hope he knows it's all love, even if it pisses him off like being critical or making irreverent picture threads or "creepy" dolls of him. It's all love.

As one of those 'Sarcastic ones' I sat here smiling while I read all that.

He knows how to blow a mind or two when he wants to. What a decent thing to do. Enough that the tune was dropped on Jess but this? Well, the poor lad prolly wont sleep for weeks. I can't imagine a better 'first P gig'. Great that he got to meet him and have a laugh too. I'm chuffed for Jesse, good luck to him. Enjoy the ride and well done P and co. What better gift than joy?

Jester, you really had a Beautiful Experience. Just goes to show that it pays to have a loving heart and positive attitude.

what a lucky young man. It's so great the Purple Wizard and his crew have latched on to this. Who else feels that Jesse so deserved this treat of all treats..i sure do. Not to be too cynical but this whole episode would also make great publicity for the upcomig tour!!..Jesse u up for that?!
