I'm glad he's not coming to Holland actually.
Because I need time to save up some money, so when he does do a small club way overpriced gig overhere, I actually can affort to go.
And I always get overexcited about his performances. So, in that respect it's also good for me, I need a calm year to get back on my feet.
Hopefully next year I've saved up and happily dance my but off at his concert

Im kind of ticked off about the way tickets were sold. Prince decides to give us an hour notice for ticket sales.(who does that and on what planet?) Of course not everyone checks twitter every freaking minute so I was totally unaware of this until I checked my phone which was around 5pm CST, and I saw ticketmaster sent me a notification saying that Prince's tickets are available NOW....lol And to think because of the whole pre-sale thing with citicard members last year at Chicago shows, I had actually signed up for Citi thinking that would for sure help me with pre-sales in the future... With all that said though, I can't complain about the ticket price for Vegas. He could've doubled, tripled the price and he would still easily sell out all 4 shows with the right kind of promotion & proper concert announcement. And there's no way I could've even thought about going if the shows were held during weekdays so I'm also thankful for that. I hope fans who can't make it to other shows because of the price could at least come to Vegas and catch him there. It's Vegas people over there probably don't even know what the word "curfew" even means. I bet late night shows are gonna last for a while =) | |

I was about to leave town to a place with no Internet and happened to check Dr. F. At 11:30PST. Then, well, the 3rdeye site crashed and I got tickets but in the most haphazard manner. That is Prince. Do you think there will be any promo for the upcoming tour in the next few weeks, another View appearance or a performance on Ellen etc?? Or just rely on the Internet, word of mouth etc? My personal opinion; he will not do a carbon copy set list, (why would he want to repeat his ownself when he could expand his ownself?) as far as exiting and re-entering who knows, but If i were you and I could afford it, i would do it in a heartbeat without hesitation....

Only been to the Jam of the Year and Musicology arena tours and paid 80 for nosebleeds so being this close in a small club I figure is worth the 250 and may be the last time I get to see him since been 9 years since he's been close. | |

Well the tickets have been on sale for almost a week. If he decides to do some kind of promotion NOW I suppose he could say "oh btw a lot of the good seats are already taken but you can still try to come" =/
I'm expecting these shows to be more like Dakota shows than actual concerts. Probably more than 70% is going to be the same ol hits but just hearing 3 or 4 songs I haven't heard him play live would make it worth it for me. I mean...if he was gonna play the W2A setlist again exactly the same why wouldn't he have booked bigger venues? The whole point of playing safe hits was to impress newer and younger fans wasn't it? With these West Coast gigs he did zero promotion and the venues are very small so the majority of attendees are going to be fans, fans as in enthusiasts not just casual ones who come to see him perform Purple Rain & Kiss. I mean who is willing to stay up till 3 a.m. to see Prince just do that right | |

Due to a change in my work schedule, I am now going to the 27 April early show in Vegas!
Gotta love how a $75 ticket becomes $99 by the time all the charges are piled on.
I'll make up for it by paying exactly $0 for my accomodations!
