Send your congratulations to Jester...He's going to SXSW this weekend, on behalf of Prince and 3rdeygirl. with an all-expense paid trip to see Prince and his bandmembers perform at the SXSW concert. How nice and gracious of Prince and 3rdeyegirl to do that for him. This was announced to EyeJester7 from Drfunkenberry on DrF's and Seth Everett's Spreecast show tonight. This will be EyeJester7's first time seeing Prince perform live. woot!

PRINCE Makes Fan's Dream Come True; Sending Him To SXSW!

Last night on the PRINCE Spreecast with DrFunkenberry & Seth Everett, a 20 year old fan from Texas named Jesse Jenkins, who has never seen his favorite performer PRINCE live before, and lives an hour from where the SXSW Festival was being held, was given a gift he was not expecting!

Jesse was hoping to see PRINCE at the SXSW Festival when it was announced that PRINCE would be playing. The $800 weekly pass and the VIP pass of $1,595 were really out of Jenkins budget. Samsung, who is hosting the party is giving away 250 tickets for people in Austin who have the Samsung Galaxy SII & SIII. Jesse unfortunately, does not have the Galaxy and did not have the $700 to purchase one.

Cue PRINCE & The NPG & 3rdEyeGirl to the rescue. Drfunkenberry announced during last night's show that he will be seeing PRINCE live this Saturday at SXSW courtesy of PRINCE & the crew!

Jesse's reaction was priceless. We are so happy for him we cannot even tell you. Check out him talking about not being able to go around the 56 minute mark and his reaction around the 58 minute mark! Priceless! (click on above link to watch)

It felt great to play the role of Ellen and be able to surprise Jesse like that.

When we contacted Jesse later that night, he had this to say;

I can hardly get any sleep Doc! I'm just so amazed! I could not even expect this and the fact that it's at my front door..WOW! Such an amazing reality!

I want to thank PRINCE, The NPG, & 3rd Eye Girl for making it happen and allowing us to do it live on the show to catch Jesse's reaction!-DocFB

You should have seen how EyeJester7 jumped for joy when he received the news from DrFunkenberry. It was hilarious...but so cute! lol

Yes, it was cool seeing Andre, and even Andre congratulated EyeJester7. EyeJester7 is becoming quite the popular Prince fan. A story he will be able to tell his future children and grandbabies....so cool!

I just remembered that Jester was the name of the co-ed dorm I lived in when I went to U.T. - that's amusing :-)

It was cool when Andre Cymone congratulated you about it, on the Spreecast show. Not to push the envelope....but it would be so cool if Prince and 3rdeyegirl just took you along on their upcoming tours, on the West Coast and abroad as well, to be a fan correspondent, and have a chance to share that entire experience from a fan's perspective. Congrats brother. I live not too far from Austin and I've been to SXSW back in 2010 when Smokey Robinson was the Keynote Speaker. Unfortunately, I'm out of town for this one. U'll have a blast! Say hi to 3rd Eye Girl 4 me. wink

Wow, what a dream come true! How many times I've read/heard you saying you haven't seen him yet, and how you wish he'd come to your neck of the woods - P's people heard ya too! Your genuineness and enthusiasm shines through, everyone can see and appreciate it.
