Any love for New Orleans? So I have been a huge fan since about 2006, and have been waiting patiently for a concert to occur somewhere in my vicinity every year, much to no avail. I remember being ecstatic when I first heard about the Welcome 2 America concert series thinking that it would kick off a tour, which never really happened or at least nowhere close to me. Maybe it's just me but with the amount of music festivals we have in New Orleans like Vodoo Fest and Jazz Fest it just seems odd that he hasn't been here in awhile. Big Easy Here!! Holla!!! I was just thinking Jazz Fest this year would be optimal for Prince and 3rdeyegirl. New Orleans holds a special place in our hearts for Prince and vice versa. I've been to every show here since 1985. 2004 for The Musicology tour was the last show here and was amazing! I was getting restless there for a while so took the trip to N.Y. for W2A. I won tickets to 3 shows, 1 in N.J. and 2 @ M.S.G. It was a long way to travel to see my fav. Artist but worth every minute. Here's to hopefully soon future dates in the N.O. Peace. Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews. | |
