Sorry I can't reveal my source but let's just say it's extremely reliable. I know you really have no reason to believe me, but I wouldn't post info like this just to get everyone riled up. I've been a member since 2004 and I take info like this seriously. I depend on this site for info like this myself so when I became aware of those concert locations, I felt it my duty to share. I don't have anymore details now. Of course things could change at a moment's notice but from what I hear, plans are being finalized for those 5 locations now.

I certainly hope your source is right then... Because, if so, that's good news for me. wink

Why is Tempe, AZ such a question?

Hasen't he played the Phoenix market every time he has done a west coast tour since '97.

I know I've been to at least 4 that he has played and I don't remember seeing an empty seat.

I'm hoping he comes would like to see him live again. Think the last time was Musicology, '04?

Not sure of Vegas and San Fran venues yet. That's all I know now folks!! Should be awesome!! I hope he brings that Friday Dakota Show on the road b/c that would just f--king rule!

I am getting a nose for the fake rumours vs. the ones with some reliability. A flashy article is often fake. The quiet scuttle I pay attention to.
And, natch, he changes his mind. No non refundable flights!

Hey now I believed you and thanked you when P finally announced welcome 2 Chicago didn't I? mad lol you don't understand how thrilled I got when you sent me that org note saying "pssst P is coming to Chicago soon..." LOL!

Anyways thank you tbag whether it's finalized or not I can't help getting all excited about this! Smaller venues? that would be absolutely amazing. Hope I can catch in Vegas and AZ! I wonder if the whole theme of 'Welcome 2...'is over or if this West Coast is still going to be a part of it..

I know that you believed me! It seemed to take forever for Chicago to come true. I am so hoping for, say, the Warfield or the Fillmore in SF. And that I could get tickets....

As soon as Fallon said west coast tour in late April, I immediately though Prince would co-incide some dates in May close to the Billboard performance on May 19. Makes good $ sense for him. They'd have paid to fly him & band & crew out there for the performance... He'll be in a celebratory mood for the honor... He'll perform there... and he'll more than likely want to perform a fuller show elsewhere.

Then again, similar circumstances existed in NYC recently--Fallon / Carnegie / and we saw how that turned out. lol

(I still say Vegas in May is a good bet)

Take this with a grain of salt, but I'm friends with a woman here in Boston, MA who claims Prince is currently negotiating venues in New England for during the summer months. Most likely the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA (southern suburb of Boston). I'm not even certain what her particular job is but something to do with promotional venues throughout the region.

Yep I've also heard the West Coast shows are just the beginning of a bigger tour.

Any chance he'll publicize the schedule more than, say, a week before the shows?! You know, so working folks can arrange time off and make travel arrangements if they want to go? LOL!

Isn't he planning to hit the festival circuit in Europe during the summer months?

I've been on this site for years and I've been to his last Seattle/Tacoma/Portland shows. My friends still scratch their heads in amazement wondering "How did you get those seats" and "How did you know about the show". It's a risk I'm willing to take and following information posted here has gotten me some incredibile P experiences. I've never been disappointed.

I still pinch myself about seeing him at the now closed Republiq in Seattle and it was information posted here that I found out about it. My best concert experience ever...not to mention I met my soulmate that night biggrin
