175 euros + airplane ticket and hotel is a lot of money but at the same time these concerts might be better than the one in denmark...hmm... I'll see what I'll do...

Same idea here.

I count with 250 euros per day if we include a room at the hotel.

Plus cheap fuel, road tax theft sticker, food, etc.

For that money I can buy a bit of silver, see some shows, whatever.

So I might skip this. (although I have seen enough to know what it can be like)

I still hope for the lotery.

Because I think the beautiful surroundings and the festival itself makes it so much more than stand alone Prince concert.

Because the musicians are gathered on these kind of festivals, they inspire eachother and they know that the audiance is seeing all kind of great musicians, so they'll step up the plate and make sure they don't dissapoint the audiance.

So, anybody knows a job paying a lot of money?

AH! SO he hits Up Montreux Again in 2013! smile Just when you think he can't beat it..he turns around with another funky trick up his sleeve!

I believe he will release this on DVD, and even more than that...He's going to provide some shows we will be sure to remember! Some songs, we forgot about..Hopefully Into The Light/I Will smile

Just watch him take it by storm! I wish I could attend all 3 shows!!

Does anybody know how the seating works?

What's the difference if you purchase higher cost tickets?

Montreux is cool, but, more importantly, where did he get that awesome pimp ring??

L.O.V.E. the picture.

It's a "go-to" pose for him, but it's not overly photoshopped, his hair looks good, the outfit (what you can see of it) is mushy, it's got a little sparkle.

mushy

As for the shows, wish I could go, but will not be able to attend.

you sit in the back or sides so further away from the stage...better buy GA tickets...cheaper and close to the stage...Good luck

Which is the estimated capacity of the Auditorium Stravinsky for the Prince concerts?

I'm from Italy and I'd like to be there but...there's a big "but"...

(my last experience with a scheduled Prince gig in Switzerland was very very bad: the Prince gig scheduled in Geneve on Summer 2010 was deleted and my ticket price was never refunded sad ...let's say it was a sort of scam by the concert manager)

...so now I'm a little bit hesitating...

what you didn't know? Prince is the ultimate pimp. It's in his DNA. The clothes, the jewelry he wears (especially the blinged-out pinky ring) the canes...think about it.

He isn't posing as a pimp, he is a pimp.

Yes. It went surprisingly well, but then again, there are still tickets available for all 3 shows. So maybe demand isn't all that high.

The prices are about the same as in 2009, but there are 1.5 times more tickets to sell. The first show is currently listed as "Currently not available".

Mmmh, actually, no, tickets were CHF 195 / CHF 480 in 2009 and they're CHF 175 / CHF 395 this year...

Yas, three tickets one each night. I cannot believe how easy and hassle free that was. First time. If this is like NSJ, I cannot wait.

Took me about 25 minutes to get tickets, but I got them now!

Ticketcorner kept refusing my Mastercard for no apparent reason, and in the meantime tickets for Saturday were gone... until they magically reappeared, along with the possibility to use American Express, which worked like a charm.

woot!
