Janelle Monae supporting 26th show LOS ANGELES, CA (September 19, 2012) Prince, one of the most prolific and groundbreaking artists of our time, has announced acclaimed singer/songwriter Janelle Monáe as the supporting act for his September 26th, 2012 “Welcome 2 Chicago” show at the United Center. The show follows two previously announced dates taking place Monday, September 24th and Tuesday, September 25th, also at the United Center and will all be in support of Rebuild the Dream. Rebuild the Dream, founded by Van Jones, is a mobilization of hundreds of thousands of everyday people—from seniors to students, moms, dads, brothers and sisters—who come together to build strong vibrant communities and to fix our economy from the ground up.
The Wednesday, September 26th show with opener Janelle Monáe is currently on sale at LiveNation.com. Additional tickets for the September 24th show have been released and are currently on sale at LiveNation.com along with tickets for the September 25th show. [Edited 9/19/12 17:36pm] Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" I specifically avoided buying tickets for the Wednesday show because I don't feel like sitting through an opening act. I just want to see Prince, so bought tickets for Monday's show. Hope he doesn't put an opening act in Monday's show! | |

She's going to be the opening act. Prince is not crazy. He wouldn't have her perform during most of his concert time. | |

Hope the volume of the instruments doesn't drown out her voice like it did the time I went to see her... How come it didn't drown out Bruno Mars when he performed with the added headache of screaming teenage girls ringing in my ears...
