Prince Welcome 2 Chicago Stage (Wierd)

Is it me, or is the positioning of the stage a little wierd, this time around..?

It seems as if the point of the arrow is pushed forward a lot, compared to the other shows, where the stage was set almost square in the middle of the arena.. do you think Prince will be performing on the "O" part of the stage instead of the arrow? Or will more people simply have crappy seats?

Im' thinking Prince will perform as usual in the Arrow section, giving more fans crappy rear view seats.. what do you guys think? Am i crazy?

Looking at that setup & looking at the Sydney All Phones Arena setup, the stage is a lot more forward. If this setup was used in Sydney there would have been alot of unhappy fans from the trumpet part back.

Prince spent most of the time at the trumpet & arrow section, occasionally going around the top of the circle. The Sat night concert I was seated to the right of the arrow & on the Tues night at the open end of the trumpet & had fantastic views of the show. Will be interesting to see whether or not he performs equally at all sections of the stage.

For the people who get tickets from the trumpet back, I sincerely hope he does!!! Wish I could go!!

To all the Purple Peeps that can go, Have a Purple Ball!!!! And an extra one for me..... Please!!!

cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool

Prince once tried 2 change his name 2 a symbol so that ur'e mother couldn't find him in the phonebook!

I don't think people will find it wierd, but they may find it weird.

The stage is set up based on how he can position his speakers and video screens from the cieling. He has always performed about 90% of his show from the arrow back through the middle of the stage (where he enters).

How do we explain the stage flipping from the 24th to the 25th, please?

I really hope this is the case, because I'm going to be REALLY fucking pissed if I bought seats in section 118 for the show on the 24th (and based on that map), and got seats in section 118 as they are marked on the map for the 25th.

I just read this in a different thread:

Just got off the phone with a rep from ticketmaster AND a rep for the United center who confirmed the arrow will point to section 117 for the 9/24 show and will change direction for the next night. Also. thank you to everyone who responded to my question. I originally splurged and got the $500 VIP tickets but then after thinking about all your posts I changed my mind, cancelled my order and got tickets for 9/24 in the lower level of section 117, row H for half the price of what the VIP tickets cost. Hope to see you guys there and thanks again.

Don’t worry – for the show on September 24th - your view, seat and section in the lower bowl (sections 101-122) will not change! Everything remains exactly as it was when you first purchased. However, since the event went on sale, the stage and lower bowl (sections 101-122) have changed direction in unison.
To view the seating chart that has been created exclusively for this night’s performance, please click here.
What do I need to do?
You’re all set – just keep your original tickets and enjoy the event.
