He must have more than a up his sleeves. I'm hopeful Chicago is in for something most cities have not recently heard.

um i've seen it he's heard the shows and ur point would be what exactly? someone doesn't like it they don't like it plain and simple yet it's a prince sin 2 call him out on the bullshit shows he's been doing.

i'm more excited about sept 18th and then thanksgiving because it's more exciting than seeing his shows of late. watch when these shows happen, someone other than us two will say 'damn shelby sang 2 ghatdamn much" or "he did too many cover songs" right alongside someone else saying "it was the best show ever"

How fucking dare a classic artist play his most popular songs in an arena show!

Nobody wants to hear him play Purple Rain for the 10,000 time!

Just like people who go see Springsteen don't wanna hear him play Born to Run for the 20,000th time.

We don't wanna hear Stevie Wonder playing Superstition for the 30,000th time.

And we damn sure don't wanna hear The Rolling Stones play Satisfaction for the 100,000th time.

That's why those artists stop playing those songs a over a decade ago!

The large crowds only wanna hear obscure shit that nobody knows or new songs from an album that most of them didn't buy!

If they do play these songs that aren't in any way beloved or that particular artist is known for, they're just being lazy bastards that only care about money!

Why do orgers come on a thread like this just to poop on everyone's happiness and enthusiasm and plans for an upcoming concert?

It's OK to have contrary opinions about the man - lively discussions and counterpoint are good. But there are enough threads in the PMM or even Assoc Artists forum for that. There are even specific threads in PMM now to vent about his awful touring band and his awful tours/concerts for the past years.

Why do you have to come in here where people are talking about an actual concert coming up in a few days, for which people are buying tickets and excited - and poop on them? It's like, "Oh here are all the suckers and idiots who are going to see his inevitably awful show; let's jump in here and rub it in their faces!"

Again, I'm not saying their p.o.v. is invalid or not allowed - I'm saying it's not good etiquette to come smash on people's fun on this thread.
