That is true! The best seats, actually, from myW2A experiences are on the elevated sides of the symbol between the arrow point and the cross of the symbol... If you get the front rows in these sections, you have a great view. The floor, right in front of the arrow point, does not afford the best view. It would and a major plus is that flights from NYC to Chicago are so short they aren't horrifically grueling!
Yeah, but I'm on the West Coast... Know any good cheap hotels near the venue?
Checkout priceline.com and search for hotels around the United Center a few popped up under $100 within a 5 mile range(easy cab ride). When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming! |

Thanks! Another tip for those combating for the best seats during pre-sales on Ticketbastard--the first tickets released, even for credit card pre-sales, aren't necessarily the best... If you wait, from my experience, they release better seats in sections held back during the pre-sales... How about "Welcome 2 New Orleans" as a compromise between Atlanta and Dallas? That city could certainly use the money, and it's cheap to fly there (at least from Dallas).
HECKS YEAH!!!!!!!!!!
I am from New Orleans, and I would pack my bags in a second!! I think I might purchase a ticket for September though! SERIOUSLY!!! lol

How do you qualify for any of the pre-sales?
If you have a Citicard, you qualify for the pre sale by virtue of the card. If you have a Live Nation account, you get a special pass and screen.

I have a Live Nation account but how do I get the passwords? I dont ever get any presale info from them. Is there something I have to do? |

Congrats to Chi-town.
What about the setlist?
I wouldn't expect anything really new, but maybe the drummer is a factor? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry. |

Minus John Blackwell...which I don't think is an improvement. Not saying the concert will be bad--just gonna be without John... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Following similar stints in New York City and Los Angeles, Prince will descend on Chicago next month for a multi-date residency at the United Center. The aptly titled “Welcome 2 Chicago” will begin on September 24th, and marks his first shows in the city since 2004.
The residency will also be used to support Rebuild the Dream, the organization founded by Van Jones that seeks to “build strong vibrant communities and to fix our economy from the ground up.”
On site at the United Center, Prince and Rebuild the Dream will offer opportunities to learn about, support, and take part in rebuilding vibrant and sustainable communities. Socially-conscious businesses, tech start-ups, entrepreneurs, and other innovators will offer specific tools that individuals and communities can use to improve their economic situation in the short- as well as long-term.”
Tickets for the September 24th show will go on sale beginning September 6th. Additional shows will be announced shortly.

Not so sure that it's a good idea to move the thread to concerts so soon. What about people who don't visit the site often or daily and miss it and no nothing about it? I might have been one of them as it was still there 1 hours ago. Should be a sticky on both pages at least for a while imo.
Ok, due to your purple excitement........... you did not notice that it is a sticky in the forum and also it was put on the front page. So I dunno how folks can miss it
Hmm.... well Luv4u I never park on the home page. I parachute in on the Prince Music forum. "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life - |
