"A little bird whispered that the tour will continue in the US of A.
The cities I've heard mentioned are Chicago, Detroit and Mpls. Negotiations are underway. Could be different cities. Most likely more cities. We're looking at a 3-4 month tour.
It will happen. But probably not before September"

MPLS turned out to be St Paul, but fell through.

yes!! Just saw it on ticketmaster, and it was announced on the radio here in Chicago. They're giving away tix.

I CAN'T CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT! I am so happy he's coming to my town! I was ready to road trip to MPLS when I heard he was doing an outdoor concert there. But of course it was canceled. This is so much better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |

It's ok. I'm confused even more now. Not even sure what Stein meant by locking this thread. I wish I could go, but if Blackwell is not the drummer, and Shelby is still shouting, it would be a bittersweet concert for me. I'd love being there, but I can only take so much of "Put Your Hands Up." Prince's live career would've been so much better had he kept most of the SOTT band with Wendy, Lisa, Fink, Miko, Eric, Atlanta, and either Levi or maybe Sonny T on bass. The current band just seems so bland. | |

Some of you Chicago orgers should post hotel/transportation/restaurant/airport, etc, info that's close to the venue, to help out orgers travelling to the show from outside of Chicago. | |

Cool in many ways! I'm glad he's supporting a charity. It looks like he may have a whole new band though because none of the regulars are saying anything about it yet including the twinz. Soo who knows who's going on this tour. It would be a great way to market Andy and Larry's albums and have them sold at the concert. | |

This will be the first show of several in Chicago, I'm sure. He hasn't done a "big" show there since Musicology. (The 2006 Tamar show wasn't really a Prince show. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |
