Gold Guitar Solo ??? As great as it was to hear Gold Live as the 1st song of the Aussie tour, I couldn't help but want the guitar solo at the end. It has a powerful solo and is made for live performance...the end of the song just filters out too subtly in my opinion. I realise he likes to use it as a commentary moment and even get the 'na na na nahh' chant happening...but the guitar solo (with symbol guitar) would have been the ultimate. Anyone feel the same?

For me, Gold has always been just slightly on the cheesy side but I've always loved the way it takes off with the guitar solo....and hey, who doesn't like to nibble on a bit of cheese now and then. I agree that the song is just made for performing live, particularly in a big arena. Those opening chords sound quite majestic live and, again, if he were to kick in with the guitar solo he'd blow the roof off.. The snippets I got during this Australian tour have given me a new appreciation of the track. "Don't hate me cos I'm beautiful"
