A word to the wise. Do not think that one concert will be enough. They are all different, different songs different feel. Book for as many as you possibly can. I have been upgraded from cheap seats so a crappy seat might improve on arrival. Just be there.

Does anybody have tips on securing tickets at Ticketek? Which is the best way of getting tix at 9am - ticket office, online or via phone? I'd hate this to be another One Direction fiasco, where tickets were pretty much sold out before they were even meant to go on sale. (NOT that I have any interest in One Direction!)

I'm not certain but I think those VIP tix might be on sale at midday today. They range from $450-850.

Anyone interested in getting $850 tickets for Sydney with me? I need someone to go with.

Those $850 tix are a complete joke.

• PL1 Premium reserved table seating located on the floor adjacent to the stage
• Early entry into the venue
• Exclusive 1 hour pre show function where you will enjoy a selection of canapés plus unlimited beverages from your choice of wine, beer and soft drinks
• Access to a private merchandise stand within the function
• Souvenir VIP Laminate

None of those points excite me except for the obvious seat.

For a third of that, we got a SOUNDCHECK the last time!!

I guess if you can afford it, then great!

But that to me reeks of money hungry promoters.

Will wait and see what Ticketek has to offer and hope for the best!!

I've used Showbiz before and they do have good tickets, but they really do seem to be a bit like legalised scalping - ie. buying up loads of great seats, then putting them in exorbitantly priced "packages" and selling them for much more than they're worth.

That said, I have no idea what sort of deal they've done with Chugg/Ticketek and thus, whether any VIP tickets will be available any other way.

It seems a bit crazy that the Showbiz presale launches in just over an hour, but we have no prices to compare the packages to

have to say for fourty quid back in 02 we got a 3 hour soundcheck

He did a "sampler set", where he stood at the purple piano, which was pre-loaded with samples from his albums. He would often include the intro to Nikki, at which point he'd either say, "I can't play that! I ain't Rhianna!" or point to his chastity ring or something and then go into something else.

I had a dream the other night that we were all at an aftershow at The Forum in Melbourne and he tried that (why he was doing a sampler set in my dream aftershow I have no idea), but we all started singing it so loudly, that he got the band to just play and let us sing, acting all horrified, but keeping it going

I suspect that worked its way into my subconscious because of some of the similar games he played with one or two lines last time he was here
