ive been a prince fan all along. been to many paisley park shows, prince concerts, 1st ave shows, and have nearly every prince cd u could find. all those shows were missing one thing... THE REVOLUTION! cant wait to see a big part of his history on that historical stage! sounds like dez will b on stage now too! but the big question is, will prince be there?? | |

FYI, Prince IS back in Minneapolis,
He took in Ana Moura's performance at the Dakota Jazz Club from a balcony table on Sunday night, then had dinner with her after-- I have to think this help the chances that he may participate or make an appearance at the reunion. | |

It was Valentine’s Day and they had the balcony at the Dakota all to themselves during the Steeles performance. The three couples were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Graham, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Z and Prince and his girlfriend. Inquiring minds want to know if Bobby Z discussed the possibility of Prince showing up Sunday night at First Avenue for a reunion of the "Purple Rain"-era Revolution (a benefit for the American Heart Association). Said Z: "It was just old friends having dinner." He indicated that the Revolution reunion -- featuring Wendy & Lisa, Brownmark, Dr. Fink, Z, Dez Dickerson and Eric Leeds -- is pressing on with the assumption that Prince will not be participating. But organizer Z, who suffered a near-fatal heart attack in February 2011, is leaving the door open for Prince to show up.

Hi everyone,
Seems to be a lack of chatter from out here in Minne.
A quick recap. A group of us NYers/NPNYers came out friday morning.
We've gone to the two parties at 7 - restaurant/bar close to 1st Ave. Both hosted by Bobby Z's wife Vicki.
Peppe Willie (sp?) came to both. I heard Jellybean came out late the first night.
Last night Prince's sister Tyka was there and Bobby, Fink and Dez came out. If I figure out how to post pictures, I'll put them up soon.
Tonight is the vip party at 6, the concert and Questlove.

I'm wearing a suit and a paisley tie, in case the rumors are true and they're filming the concert for an official DVD. If it gets too hot, though, the jacket may have to come off.
