First Prince Concert- Toronto Nov 26

Hey guys! I had my first Blessing with The Purple One on saturday! It was one of the greatest moments of my life. The great experience started outside the venue when people wanted 2 take Pictures with me because i resemble the man himself. Then once i got into the venue, even more people asked for pictures and complimented me, it felt great. Eventhough Prince came on an hour late, i wouldnt have had it any other way, cuz i made new friends while waiting, And 2 my surprise he opened with 1 of my favorite songs.. GOLD! biggrin And After the concert, i won a T-shirt, because i "looked" like Prince... it's such an Honor.. (: I feel like my first Prince experience couldnt have gotten any better. I can NOT wait to go back 2 Canada and see him again... hopefully VERY soon! So tell me... what was YOUR first time with the Purple one like? Was it as amazing as you thought it would be? Because mine was WAY better than i expected... let me know! Im ready to read Ya'lls stories! biggrin

Gold (:

He sang his heart out!

Me and My new friends <3

My first time seeing him live was Saturdays show as well! Words cannot describe the feeling I had when he took that stage, just an incredible performer! I've never danced or had so much fun at a concert in my life! Everybody truly needs to experience Prince live at least once in their lives!

Hey baby! Don't get me in here actin' silly now! You're not taping this are you... ????

YES! The whole experience couldnyt have been any better! I danced SO much! But,when i finally figured out the Opening was Gold, from the Synthesiser sounds, i went crazy. (:

I think Saturdays show was very rare, because He played songs like Gold, Crimson and Clover and a few others that he doesnt always play(: I think the show could have been even longer though.. (:

Nice to share your first impressions. How did it happen when you won the tshirt, was it inside the ACC ?

Friday was my first show, I've been a fan since I'm 14, and I'm turning 38 soon. During all these years, I was always informed too late of the shows, that were already sold out.

In the same time, this is not bad that I had to wait for so long to see him. Because as a teenager, I was crazy in love with him, only as teenagers can feel for an artist. Since I've been practising guitar for 4 years now, I'm enjoying much more his music, listening to the chords, and I can appreciate it with the eyes and ears of the apprentice musician I am.

He brought a lot to me in my early life. English is not my first language, and I practised it mostly with Prince songs, translated all the lyrics from For You to Lovesexy... even the dirtiest ones smile

Friday was my first experience, and strangely, I didn't cry, didn't faint, didn't yell (well, maybe a little). I had this feeling I was meeting one of my oldest friends. I was feeling at peace, at home, living one of the best moment of my life, nothing else mattered, there was only Him and me smile

Saturday was much more emotional, thanks to Gold, definitely. The tears had to come, and I let them go.

I liked the two shows, but Saturday will come first in my mind, for the emotional moments, and the guitar riffs as well.

Are you going to other shows during the tour ? Montreal, is my next smile

Wow! Im glad to know that Prince helped you master so many things in your life! biggrin I cant imagine wanting to see him for so many years and then after so long, seeing him live! I've only wanted to see him for about 2-3 years (Im only 17! haha)

Gold is a Very emotional song, he should keep it a rare played song though. It makes it much more special..

And, LUCKY! Im jelous! Toronto was my only show for this tour, unless he extends it back into the United States... Im hoping he will sometime soon. Make sure you sing loud enough to represent me at the show! Have fun!!lol

That's sweet. If you're only 17 and live in the US, you will definitely see him again !!! 3 shows was what I needed to grant the patience of all these years, and it must have been my destiny, since I live with one foot in Toronto, and the other one in Montreal.

I'm glad to hear that there are still some people than can become new fans so young, Which was the song, or the album, that made you a fan ?

I love Canada SO much, it would be nice to live in Toronto, lucky for you!

Well, this is going to sound like im a Casual fan, but acatually it was the Super Bowl Performance that made me a fan. I saw him perform, and he just had carisma and i loved it, but i didnt think too much. THEN he performed Crimson and Clover on ellen, and it sold me. Since then i've been PRINCE CRAZY! smile Now im boarderline obsessed. haha! And since then, im always hearing new music of his, and i love it. He has so much music, it's a surprise for me ever day. I heard Gold for the first time about 2 months ago, and lucky for me he sang it in Toronto! Woopie! biggrin

While this person certainly is a fan of the music and what she has deemed the guy to be like in her mind, imagine being Prince and reading the below paragraph. I would be shit scared as well of my fans!

Whatever... maybe he'll send me an orgnote if he's reading that smile Everyone lives his passion like he wishes to do, from the moment it doesn't harm anybody.

I used to be a shy teenager, spending most of the time listening to music in my bedroom. Having a wild imagination, I'm figuring that the Artist I was liking the most was more like a friend to me, in my mind, and truly, the best moments of my teenage years were when I was listening to his music, because it was my first taste of freedom, and this is why I am grateful for what he brought to me.
