there usually is something... was this an option for the usa leg tour?

Yep, there were presales for the US dates. I thought the dates for the presales were announced way in advanced though. There's still time, I'm just anxious and I always worry about things I can't control as usual!

Are these AmEx presales, like another Orger was wondering, or available somewhere else? Where does one find these presales, when they happen?

Well, for Amex, you'd need to register to the American Express Front of the Line, and if you have Prince as your favourite on your LiveNation profile, in theory you should get an email telling you when the presale is along with a code to enter. For some reason, I've had trouble receiving those emails, but found the presale codes online… on this forum.

nod technically to get out and back home, yes. but you'd probably have a hard time getting in without a passport anyways.

Visitors from any country other than the U.S. have always needed a passport to enter Canada. On the other hand, because of a friendly border crossing agreement between Canada and the United States, Canada Border Services did not require U.S. citizens to present a passport to enter Canada. This friendly border crossing agreement used to be mutual; however, now the WHTI requires that U.S. citizens have a passport to return home. In this way, passport requirements for Canada and U.S. borders are different on paper, but, are in practice, the same. Canada will not allow a U.S. citizen into the country who does not have the proper documentation to return home.

Yep, higher than U.S. Dollars.

Also can Canadian fans post hotel/travel information for those travelling to Canada? I think that would be very helpful info. Also is a passport or just birth certificate needed from Americans? Not that I'm going to the Canada shows, but last time I visited Canada, I was around 12 or 13 years old, and Americans only had to present a birth certificate as identification. I gather a passport is now the required document of identification non-Canadians now?

[Edited 10/30/11 14:46pm]

Because of 9/11 a current valid passport is required for entering Canada. USA is VISA exempt, so no VISA needed.

I'll put a list of hotels together for Edmonton.

Thanks, that's exactly why I asked because I figured things may have changed after 9/11. Maybe if you start a thread with hotels/travel information, you can indicate at the top of the thread, that U.S. citizens need a passport to get in/out of Canada.

Yes, now you do. But you can get an expedited passport if you have a schedeled date to leave the country.

I believe that, because years ago, even when U.S. citizens were only required to present birth certificates to travel in/out of Canada, the customs agents still asked you random questions about where you live in the U.S. like for example, "How many baseball teams does NY have?" lol

So I guess now since the 9/11 situation they're being real careful. Just make sure your passports are in decent condition and the print in your passport book is clear/readable. For American citizens, if you have a state driver's license or a state issued ID from your state, it's best to bring that too as another source of identification. Have fun guys!biggrin Look forward to reading your reviews.

For travel to Canada & Mexico US citizens can just get a passport card (they're like ID Cards but national) and they scan them at the border instead of stamping your book. I think they're a little cheaper than passport books.

Change it one more time..

Thanks, but 'passport cards' cannot be used for international air travel, according to this link:

See this thread link for passport/passport card application and fees information:

http://prince.org/msg/12/369882

http://travel.state.gov/p..._3926.html

The U.S. Passport Card can be used to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda at land border crossings or sea ports-of-entry and is more convenient and less expensive than a passport book. The passport card cannot be used for international travel by air.
