This is exactly the reason why such loud concerts should be put a little bit quieter. As I know, it's not obligatory to bring earplugs to a concert. Earplugs can't become a standard requierement for concerts!! What do you get then, a sound engineer mixing the sound with earplugs in? How stupid would that be?

An EU directive has put a maximum sound level for concerts. That should be respected. That's all.

If the volume really was as harmful as what people are saying, then they probably should have made it quieter yes.

Loud or too loud...is often a matter of the personal feeling indeed.

However, although I like it loud & want to also "feel" the music literaly...this was also to loud for the speakers/PA. The sound was therefore not clear anymore, and a true pain in my ears also for this reason.

Not sure if it would have been really better -not blurry- if it was not set as loud as it was.

Besides this, Prince never was (and never should be) in the same catergory as some mega-loud concerts/artists. (=As the sound & the music does not require this - it is even making it worse)

On top of this, why make fun about people complaining about the concert was too loud or serious health problems which might arise from it? If there would be a minority, the argue of using any kind of personal noice reduction would be OK, but here it was more the majority complaining about it....(and yes, I would include myself to the complaning list too...)

[Even there might have been -for example- also problems with the sound last year in Berlin, no way as bad or loud as this]
