Aaaaargh, i thought i would never be able to get in! Now i read that there were still tickets available, and he has played a hardcore fans' dream setlist. I am banging my head against the wall in frustration right now, how could i have been so stupid! Someone has better recorded this gig!!!

Slap me silly! That is a ludicrous setlist! I know I am not allowed to complain, having seen Prince first night North Sea and first night Melkweg, but it seems I picked the wrong nights for both shows! Argh! This is agony to read that setlist. Practically all songs are highlights, while the first night just didn't really hit it. Good god, I'm going to run a marathon or something, get my mind off things... lol

Btw, the song Outstanding, whose song is that?

(just checked, Gap Band)

I was at de Melkweg last night / 2nd show.
My first small club show (finally) OMG it was AMAZING!!!
Loved every bit of it but especially TBODP and Mutiny.
Great atmosphere in line and in da house.
Prince enjoyed himself, dancing and laughing, playing bass and working his synth.
I will be on cloud9 for a loooong time smile

Some of my wishes came true this nite. I always loved Mutiny and was always quietly hoping he'd do it. And he did!!!! Also loved Colonized Mind, but I do not recall hearing Mr Man. He led the audience in a chant of "Independance" while singing some lyrics that could either be improvised or a new song.
But the set list does not say it all. P played a lot of weird Stevie Wonder/Bernie Worrell sounding keyboards. Even Andy managed some nice guitar licks.
Truly all the other Prince gigs I saw were no more than a warm up for this.

pretty much, longer intro with just the keyboards and the breaks were more mellow than the CB version (except for the bass-slapping). The end of Flashlight (posted by Andy Allo on youtube) gives an idea of the intro at the beginning of the show.
