The sentiment of it minus the spite is, of course you know, that just because someone is concerned specifically for Prince's welfare, doesn't mean they don't care about everyone else affected by this tragedy.
We (almost?) all care about Prince and the NPG here and many were no doubt relieved ('happy' being a poor choice of words, imo) to know that they were ok.
We don't know them personally, but we feel a connection to them. So when something like this happens in a city in which we believe them to be staying, I don't believe it's unreasonable that our thoughts turn to them. Mine certainly did - it doesn't mean my heart doesn't go out to those in Norway who were directly and indirectly affected by what happened.
Granted, the OP could have worded it a little better and I realise where you're coming from eireboy, but it did seem to be a particularly harsh reaction to what I'd suggest was a reasonable sentiment expressed rather bluntly (perhaps that's true on both sides).
For anyone to use this topic as grounds for going another round of orger-bashing though (whomever the target) is disrespectful.
This seems to have gone from someone expressing their concern somewhat tactlessly, to someone else simply reacting to the post and lashing out at the OP, to others being more opportunistic and turning an otherwise blink-and-you'll-miss-it thread that should have sunk the moment it was confirmed that Prince was ok into yet another org battleground.
Enough, please.

I am truly sorry if one sentence of joy, gave the impression that I didn't care for all others. This can be farthest from the truth. Never assume U know what 1 is thinking or what 1 has done. After praying and worrying about everyone, and hearing of those I care 4 where alright, from family to friends, I expressed a moment of joy and relief on Prince.org to know that Prince and his band was ok too. Sorry not to mention or share with the org the prior hours of hell that I through trying 2 find out how everyone was. Thank U Shelby and 4 those who did post, to let those of us who do care, help find some peace and comfort in such a trying time. I realize now, why I never post, geeessh!...... by reading what has come out of one or two sentence of caring. Please forgive my brief "poor" choice of words or happiness. No matter what U say or think, U won't take the joy away from my heart, knowing that Prince and his band was ok too! Sorry! My heart is huge, filled with the love of my faith, family and friends, but the actual beat of my heart.........that's Prince!

It brings out the ugly in people because human as well as animals have emotions. And they are connected to relations between others and their security.
This "event" was more massive than The Columbine High School and Virginia Tech massacre put together. The island was politically connected to what happened in Oslo. But the explosion in Oslo "only" killed 7+ people because people had been heading home after work already. Prince had nothing to do in these bulidings. But of course I understand that people was scared for his life since they didn't know anything of what happened yet. I would too. Prince is close to my heart because of his music.
I don't blame people for caring about their families firstly, as Prince is to many even closer than family through his music. He is important to me too. However, he like every other Norwegian or tourist not on the island or close to that partical building in Oslo was completely safe. This was political terrorism agains what he would refer to as socialism. He was a right wing extremist. Prince was not his goal here. However 80+ political "recruits" for our "socialist" youth on a little island was.
Norway is neither a communist country, nor is it a socialist country. Norway is very much in the middle of the right and left wing. It's considered a liberal and democratic country. Of course we have. If there is something I am angry towards, it's politicians and public figures running there mouth about the possibility of it being bin laden or other muslim fundamentalists. Propaganda is a dangerous thing. People think propaganda is only a weapon in "enemy" countries. The west also has provided alot of false information, speculation and manipulation towards their people. My Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/tundrah

No problem. I'm glad he is ok too. If my family or friends was close to something dangerous, I would firstly care about them, then the rest of the people who had suffered. It's completely natural. We're just very emotional over here now. It's a national grief. Our country is small. 80+ excecuted kids/youth is not normal in any northern western country. Not even in the states. This is a warzone made by 1 psycho. My Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/tundrah
