Wow. After hearing how many shows everyone's been to, I almost don't feel like a real fan (even though I've been into Prince for 27 yrs). I've only been to 7 shows in total. The first was Lovesexy at MSG in 1989. Then one in Worcester, MA during a snowstorm in February, 1993. The next two were in NJ between 2000-2005, don't remember the dates. Then just recently for the W2A tour- two at the IZOD Ctr on 12/15/10 and 12/17/10 and one at MSG on 2/7/11.
I would have loved to have gone to a show at Paisley Park even just once. Stuart3121, you were so lucky!! Have u had your + sign today? | |

it's great when you read/talk to people who have been to early 80's shows - I'm always in awe when someone's seen the Parade gigs, also met someone who saw P at the Lyceum '81 in London...(fucking 'ell...)
And yes there is a point to this - it's good fun to share experiences and apperciation of his live performances from fans both young and old.

YES.... It does matter! I have been to 94 shows across the globe since 1980. It is about being a true fan and enjoying life by doing what you want, when you want and how you want. G-d has blessed me with the ability to do this and I am so thankful. I live in Louisville, KY and Prince very seldom makes his way here. I have had the chance to see other countries and many other cities in the U.S that I would have never visited (thank you Prince)! "True freedom takes place in the spirit. Paisley shows are way better than stadium shows, rather go to after parties than the stadium, i only missed maybe 4 or 5 stadium shows in minneapolis since becoming a fan. | |
