Prince did his first interview with Irish media on June 30th in Paris before the Stade De France concert. The interview will be published in full in Life magazine, a supplement with the Sunday Independent on July 24th.

Details of the interview are under wraps as of now but journalist Barry Egan who interviewed Prince shared one quote on p.26 of today's paper

" I Can't Wait To Play Dublin. It's Gonnna Be an incredible show"

The article also gives rave reviews for Hop Farm concert.

Barry Egan gets good results from his interviews, hopefully he wasn't awed by Prince and to be honest from past experience I doubt that he was. So I'm hoping for one or two tough questions besides the usual " Prince gave a small smile and rolled his eyes and said 'Next question'"

And any truth that Welcome 2 America is to be given away with The Sunday Independent as an apology for Croke Parc...................Physc!
