Giel was also the one who created some stress last November by telling that Prince was going to perform in Paradiso...

There are gigs scheduled 2night in Paradiso, 3 gigs.

Last one is midnight gig as well.

Giel is well....

Don't trust him. If this shit is all through the media than it would be hard 2 go 2 this gig. Look at what happened last november...

I believe it till the rumours are getting stronger. I will go if the rumours are getting stronger, otherwise I will stay at home.

Google translation: The Amsterdam pop temple denied the story in all keys. "We have a special celebration evening for which the room is transformed. I do not see how that Prince can still upset taht," let a spokesperson known.

According to the spokeswoman of the Paradiso are this just rumors from the outside. "We have no additional staff, I do not see people running back and forth nervously, and there is no account of the arrival of Prince."

The Noodlanding-dance party is on tonight at Paradiso, just as last year when Paradiso was serious about the possibility of a concert. I guess Noodlanding would not stand in the way of a Prince concert. But would he play 6 nights in a row?

In November Paradiso has switched their programming at the last moment for Prince.

However, around 00.30 he said he was to tired to perform. Because the regular program was cancelled, they opened their doors for free at 1, and improvised the rest of the night. They lost money on that night, because they shut down for him, and later on, they could not charge admission anymore.

I doubt that they would open their venue for Prince again. If he is welcome in Paradiso, he should pay his respect to them. It was the place that outside Europe gave him his first chance to perform, his first concert in Europe was in Paradiso. You would have thought he would have treated them with more respect in November.

Well, it's Prince we are talking about, you never know. Maybe he will perform tonight. Maybe not. One never knows, untill he actually sets his foot on the stage.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

Giel Beelen is a very annoying person and not to take seriously with these kind of things. Follow Paradiso's Twitter instead!

Well let's just say that it would make sense for him to take it easy before performing three nights in a row at NSJF and after doing two shows in Belgium.

Maybe the fact that Blackwell heard news that day about the passing of his father was more relevant than Prince feeling too tired to perform... And I recall a tweet around 21.30 while the main concert in Arnhem was taking place of Renato Neto stating "no aftershow tonight" - that hint was disregarded by the thousands of tweets by people who - according to themselves - were ' in the know' and was overlooked by their followers.

I didn't regard your post as 'complaining and wining'. My apologies if my post gave you that idea.
I just tried to add my view (and memories of trying to keep up with twitter that night) on what happened in november. Maybe Prince was too tired - who can tell? I am pretty sure he is tonight wink

I was in Belgium at both gigs.

1st evening: 20.14 - 23.46

2nd evening: 20.25 - 23.40

NSJ: 3 evenings, 01.30 - 05.00?

I don't see him doing a secret show 2nite, nor an after on sunday or monday.

If I was him, I would be chilling in the arms of his new girlfriend, the stunning beautiful Andy Allo, 2nite. And I think that's exactly his plan biggrin

@paradisoadam (twitter of Paradiso) just (about 30 minutes ago) tweeted: Prince is going to bed early, 3xNSJ to dream of, no show tonight.

edit: I bet ya: Giel Beelen will start a similar rumour on July 26

Giel Beelen is an abolute idiot for tweeting nonsense and of course the cheap media copy-cat 'news' without checking. Real quality journalism... NOT!!

They really do not know what they cause with practices like that. sad

If I could make it there, why not some of the others? wink

There was a night ahead which could be used to rest and the Ahoy experience was not that fatigueing.
