I always thought that was because he is such a perfectionist. But then again, why did he choose to release the Rave DVD monstrosity???

I also regret not buying all those video releases he did. They always seemed short, but bought Diamonds and Pearls finally and they're really awesome.

But a lot of that's VHS.

I would LOVE to have LoveSexy tour on dvd.

we already do!! We need some of the other tours that we dont have a GREAT quality show or some aftershows. My vote would be for a good quality D&P tour and the Act I, Act II. Those were some great tours but we dont have any excellent dvds. The D&P is low sound and picture grade. No proshot on act I or II.

I thought it was more to do with the fact of the "live experience" not being fully captured on a video recording. But that doesn't explain Sign O The Times.

Sure he could release some, but what's in it for him?

I must say I quite enjoy the Las Vegas DVD performances, although that DVD was marred by poor/uneven sound quality (And not being a complete show). Also many people here complained about the bootleg-like video quality, but that never really bothered me too much...

Never really liked too much the Sott DVD either, too much overdubs...

Most of the VHS releases have been "released" on dvd and are availbale to download for free. Also, in a few cases the rips have come from laserdisc and not from crappy VHS so the quality is superb.

Go find.

I thought I was the only one, I have never been a fan of the SOTT movie.

Don't get me wrong, it's good, but I don't think it's the holy grail of Prince videos that a lot of people think it is.

Agreed! For me the holy Grail would probably be the Homecoming DVD including the Time and Vanity 6 performances in pristine quality...

Glad I am not the only one that thinks that...

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Because it's Prince.

Yes, he used to say he was number 1 at the bank etc but he still cannot properly satisfy a market. No album, no video, no pre-arranged tour, not paying some bills in time.

It appears to be not a problem for mr Prince.

Like Montreux?

It will be out sooner as a bootleg...

So do not hold your breath.
