Yes i was at hop farm, and last night at Ghent was by far a better gig.

But Paris last week was also better than Hop farm.

Dont get me wrong Hop farm was a great show.

I heard the sound was pretty shit last night....compared to Hop Farm which I have to say was one of the best sounding BIG gigs I have ever been to. Why was last nights better? Was it jst the setlist ...I doubt the energy was there that was there in abundance at Hop Farm. Just curious why you would think that one gig is better than another.

Yes the setlist was so much better, the sound was good and the atmosphere was great.

I would not make assumptions if i was not at a gig, as we all know how different it is when you are there, anyone that did not go to Hop Farm would look at the setlist and say it wasn't a good one, yet you was there and know it is not all about the setlist.

Of course you was not there last night so how can you judge?

But what I don't get is why you should feel that you have to compare one gig to another? You said yourself that the Ghent gig was"by far the better" gig but you dont actually qualify that statement....setlists are surely subjective? I have been to many many Prince gigs over the past 27 years and I have never ever compared one to another. So I was just wondering, setlist apart, why you think that Ghent and Paris were better gigs. Did he play more musically?

You say you dont compare, yet about 2 posts ago you was doing just that.

So you have never walked away from a gig thinking "that wasnt as good as last weeks"?

Must be a great world when you dont have feelings on what is better.

Anyway in my opinion after going to the 3 concerts i mentioned i feel that Hop Farm was not the best, Although it was good and i had a great time .

And as You wasnt there for the others, You obviously cannot give a opinion.

From where we were, center golden circle, the sound was crystal clear and about the good level.
One of the best sounds and acoustics I've heard at an open air show.

Even Prince shouting en singing trough the megaphone was fun.

just from someone who was there.

I really wonder how the man decides what songs he's going to play for the evening or if he wings it on stage in an inspired moment. Great set

the setlist was no problem at all, can`t be anyway.. he can play yankeedoodledandee all night & it would be awesome.

except, when he misses that soul. and that`s what he did in my eyes on the 6th...

everything too clean, too commercial, as if he wanted just to show off and get done & over with it.

really dissapointing.. or no, really:
