Im staying out in Ballsbridge (Towers) - I know its on the wrong side of the city for Mahahide, but its close to the dart, which runs straight out to Malahide and its on the right side of the city for going out after, plus they have decent enough rates - €99 for a double or triple room, which doesnt seem to bad. Most of the city centre hotels I checked out are pretty expensive that weekend, it being a bank holiday and all...

bewleys are chargin 12 euro return, good if only one or 2 of u are goin, however, if u have a big group better off gettin taxi, taxi over is only 20ish:|

The wife and I are definitely up for pre drinks at the hotel. Just been looking at purple glow sticks on Fleabay, was about to click buy and wondered how security at the airport will view them. Anyone know where we could get them in Dublin?

I dont land til 3.40pm so for me it will be dump my bags, kiss the mirror twice and run for the bus! Although they havent said a time for the bus yet!

As for Glow sticks you will never get them through security as hand luggage as they contain a mix of chemicals which heat up when they are combined etc etc I googled it yesterday! They may also be too big to fit in those tiny plastic bags you have to use for your 100ml containers for liquids

Unless there is an Ireland based fan willing to stock up beforehand for us

I emailed the hotel and they won't have any times for the bus until Monday, IF there is an Aftershow I wonder if the driver could be persuaded to take us to the Tripod instead of back to the hotel?

....just decided to go to Dublin on Saturday. Arriving from Glasgow at 12.40 on Saturday, back off home at 6.50 am so I was going to skip on a hotel (on the off chance there's an aftershow and I never make it there!) and just kill time in the airport.

My question - what's the best way to get to Malahide from the airport (and back again after the gig) using public transport?
