Prince has now chosen to add August 7th to NPG Music & Art Festival. Prince will be headlining both Saturday 6th August and Sunday 7th August. Like all Prince fans know, there are never two concerts, which are identical.Prince who is Artistic Director of his own festival can already present the first two artists on the NPG festival's second day on August 7th.

Janelle Monae has been named the successor of 'King of Pop' Michael Jackson. Monae performed last Sunday at the Roskilde Festival Cosmopol stage where she, according to critics, was one of the greatest experiences because of her great charisma and energy.

The American R & B singer-songwriter Nikka Costa will visit Danish ground for the first time when she performs at the NPG Festival. Nikka Costa manages in the best way to combine elements of funk, soul and blues at the same time.

I really enjoyed seeing Nikka Costa and Janelle Monae. Plus, they have both performed songs with Prince and might do so again... Nikka did Whole Lotta Love and Glamorous Life (2 different shows at the LA Forum), and Janelle did a duet of If I Was Your Girlfriend and Take Me With You (again, 2 different shows during the W2A tour).

If I had the opportunity to go to both shows, I would. I'm one of the crazy people who went to 9 of the "21" nights at the Forum (plus 3 of the one off shows) and I enjoyed each and every show (some a little more than others but they were all good to me!)

Yesterday's news: Chaka Khan added to the festival line-up (2 out 3 right, udo!) on both days. Nikka Costa on both days too...

What do you all think about the line-up so far?

The 6th doesn't really give room for more acts does it? It seems like they can squeeze in another act on the 7th in between Chaka and Monae, but it would be a bummer if that would end up being Graham (or Maceo) wouldn't it? It looks though that the Prince on the 7th concert could be an extra cool and long one starting already at 8pm (compared to starting at 9pm on the Saturday).

What do you think? Is there variation enough in the line-up?

Oh! And I just noticed on the npgfestival site: Kids under 12 years get in for free accompanied by an adult! Grab a kid somebody! Musicology!!!
