Hope all is well in the land of the purple. So, there are some upcoming Prince shows and was curious if anybody in Canada or Europe that would be interested in streaming the shows from their iphone or android phone.

It may sound crazy or labor intensive, but it is not, I assure that it is SUPER simple. The purpose of me writing this post is not to go against P's wishes, but rather push the boundaries.

For example, the band Phish (who is VERY liberal regarding recording live shows) wasn't too pleased about it at first, but now they're broadcasting select shows in SBD and HD quality. So, this could be another revenue market for Prince.

If you're just an average joe w/ smart phone (android/iphone), all you need to do is the following:

1. go to www.ustream.tv and create an account to get a username or password.

2. download the ustream BROADCASTER version of the app (there is a regular ustream viewing app, but you want the broadcaster version). its free.

3. sign in on you phone, click "go live" and then "start stream".

Of course P is against photos and you can't hold your phone up, so a shirt w/ a breast pocket works best, plus helps muffle a lot of reverb. also, it obviously won't work unless you have a decent 3G or 4G connection or the venue may have wifi service available. the 3G service, hell phone service in general, was TERRIBLE at the forum, thus it wouldn't work.

Some of the LA Shows were streamed. The quality was ok, but better than nothing. Prince will never release anywhere near what he should anyway.

I second ihatephish's sentiments. He streamed a great live show from the Troubadour and it was wonderful! If any Canadian or European fans were able to enjoy that show due to the OP--please, let's keep the great live sound coming from fans from other countries!
