Same goes for motherfuckers dancing and singing along...

At the recent Charlotte show, they were turning people away with professional cameras, they didn't even make me take mine out of my pocket (it's not professional, but has a good zoom).

I do agree though... Keep it under control... Don't be inconsiderate to those around you.

Difference is, Prince is usually asking people to dance & sing while he's constantly chastising people for their cameras...

Yeah, you see, that's good reason to be mad. No one can fault you there. I sometimes think we are in our own world and in our own moment that we aren't always aware of those behind or around us. Floor/Pit areas are especially bad when everyone is standing close together and different heights...

I only get snippets of video then put the cell back in my pocket as it's much more fun watching without having a device in your hand. It's funny, I was in Prince mode and watching my cell videos over the weekend. I only recorded key parts---like the Purple Rain solo, the red lighting during Corvette and anytime he would walk to the front of the arrow. It put a smile on my face... My cell records video in HD supposedly, and on a computer monitor it translates pretty well.

What really gets me are the people who feel the need to use the flash when taking concert pictures. Do they not understand the concept of photography? The other night the wife and I were watching fireworks and some lady kept taking pictures of them with her flash. Really?!? The best is hearing the people at concerts complain that all they are getting are blurry shots of the back of peoples heads. Idiots.

I've actually seen some pretty damn cool stuff as the result of people making videos. I'm talking about boots with audio from a good source and multiple angle shots made of videos people took and that way they managed to capture the entire concert from beginning 'til end. At my second aftershow in the indigo I went to collect my coat and put it on after Prince left the stage but when he came back for an encore I put my hand in my coat pocket where my phone was so I took it out and took a picture. I was immediatly removed. It being about 3am I was a little worse for wear having moved on from beer to whiskey that night so wasn't very discrete.

I met my brother in law outside who was removed at the same time for putting an unlit cigarette into his mouth.

At least we were first in line for the boat.
