Top ten highlights for me:

The 11 pm Troubadour show (only saw the last 1.5 hours and it still ranks as the best Prince show I've ever seen)

Stevie Wonder playing with Prince on guitar/bass/band leader

Prince getting all down and dirty and crawling across the stage during Gingerbread man

The sh*t eating grin on Prince's face at the House of Blues Jazz Cafe show during LRC when the crowd sang "Slow Down" right on cue without any prompting from him

Brown Skin with Shelby J on vocals at the HOB Jazz Cafe... she took it to church and you see Prince was feeling it... he gave her a standing ovation and screamed into the mike at one point

Being about 10 feet away from him at the 7pm show at HOB

Getting to see him sing all sexy like and shred on the guitar during Shh... saw it multiple times and each time seemed like it got only better... the last time was at the HOB (he did it last night but had Maceo play sax and there was no Prince on guitar neutral )

Whole Lotta Love with Nikka Costa

Hearing him do Future Soul Song & She's Always In My Hair.

Everytime he did If I Was Your Girlfriend... that's my jam.

April 23 - Long show with great energy. Prince rocked out with Chaka Khan and Larry Graham.

April 29 - Slithered down the stage and popped open shirt during a sultry, 20-minute version of Gingerbread Man/Beggin' Woman Blues.

April 30 - Energetic guest performances from Gwen Stefani and Nikka Costa. Prince shreds guitar on "Whole Lotta Love" and then hits the piano for "Strange Relationship" and "Something in the Water"

May 6 - "Future Soul Song" really comes to life live. Guitar parts are fantastic.

May 13 - Another long show with great energy. Janelle Monae is an electric opening act. Mike Phillips jazzes up performances with sax, and STEVIE WONDER shows up to play "Superstition." Oh, and Prince humps the piano during a slow-jam-megaset.

May 25 - House of Blues "Jazz Cafe" was an intimate performance for maybe 150 people. Prince rocked Bambi, Colonized Mind and Little Red Corvette with an extended "Slow down!" call-and-response. And Shelby J brought down the house with "Brown Skin."

Lots of great moments on this tour so far!

he makes some of the sexiest faces when he plays guitar...i'll never forget this one face he made..it made me soo hot i had to contain myself infront of my dad sad but, it was during a little shredding guitar solo and it was high note, and he made this face like he was about to say "shit" his mouth was really tight and tense and his eyes were closed...oh my.

and i love shhh

Revolutionary

May 21 San Jose was the best of 3 shows I attended.

"Little Red Corvette" stretched out w/ "Slow Down" on repeat...

teasing us w/ "Screams Of Passion"

"Pop Life"

"DMSR"

"Forever In My Life"

Playing old Paisley Park videos prior to hitting the stage

Sheila E. . Period.

the extended full version of "Controversy" w/ "I Wish We All Were Nude" chants

"Cool"

"Lets Work"

No "Love Bizarre" w Sheila there? Shameful. Just part of keeping us all jacked & wanting more...

No rare old school jam like "Bambi" - really really wanted to hear that or "America" or something more off the map- LA is LUCKY - They don't even know...

hey thats the one i was at! i loved it (its my first prince concert) but i didn't think much of larry graham until his sly and fam stone work. and the sound quality soounded really scratchy and inaudible. i remember prince had to tell them to turn his background singers up.

So many memorable nights:

Oakland Wed Feb 23rd:
-first time seeing Prince since my first show in 2007, first time seeing him play an arena.
-One of the best Little Red Corvette performances, hands down.

-The crowd energy was unrivaled. Prince was feeling it.

-Prince on bass.

-"Love" and "Black Sweat" during sampler set.

-Multiple encores w/ house lights up. The Bird, Jungle Love.
-Had a bunch of first timers with me.
-Overall best energy of all the shows I went to; first time seeing many of these songs performed live. My first Prince concert was an intimate one-off gig.

Oakland Thur Feb 24th:
-Opened with "The Love We Make". We knew we were in for a special night.

-Really eclectic setlist with a lot of Parade material. Anotherlover, Mountains, Under the Cherry Moon.

-"She's Always In My Hair"
-Solo piano set during one of the encores! Only time I've ever seen him do it. UTCM, Do Me Baby, I Wanna Be Your Lover.
-Played for close to three hours!
-"Cool" with audience onstage.
-"This is not Kim Kardashian!"

-"We Want Prince!" chant. He just kept on coming back.

-Sheila E. present for bulk majority of the set.

-Prince on percussion at one point.
-The drunk bitch dancing down the aisles during "Raspberry Beret". lol

San Jose Sat May 21st:
-Prince concert on the end of the world! "I've been waiting for this night all my life"
-Was able to bring people I've always wanted to take to see Prince. It was a dream come true.

-Prince riding a bike to the stage.
-Opening with "DMSR"
-Sheila E. shedding tears at the crowd's overwhleming affection after her initial set.
-Prince's smirk during the "judgement day" line in 1999.
-Prince taking photographs of the audience during "Cool".
-Somehow equalled the Oakland performance of Little Red Corvette. "Slow Down!" crowd chant with claps and extended solos. Felt like a continuation of the arrnangement from Oaktown.

-Almost full version of "When Doves Cry"

-Prince bringing Bria Valente on stage, sitting her down at the piano, getting on top of it, and singing "If I Was Your Girlfriend" to her.

-"The Screams of Passion" played for the first time in recorded history.

I don't know of any other artist that can pull off such an exciting tour. I've never been so enthralled in my life. This is the shit I'll be telling my kids about. Different setists every night, a completely unique show every time. The tour is so spontenoeus, and the band is clearly having as much fun as the audience. The energy it creates is unparalleled, and the high lasts an eternity. I haven't even begun to scrape the surface here. I've been to many shows in my lifetime, but these were all far and away the best. Nothing compares. Prince, please come back to the US sooner rather than later. I don't want to have to wait another four years to get down. sad

I was able to find audio of both the Oakland shos, but nothing from San Jose seems to be cropping up. I'd really like something to remember it by, if anyone knows of something floating around out there.

I will post more later...tons of glorious Prince moments. But that is a given. For the time being I will concur that Sheila E. was an absolute highlight. She brought it so hard. I'll look up the exact dates, but she had an amazing impassioned night in L.A., an almost tear-filled reception in San Jose, and tremendously playful and joyful times with Prince onstage in Oakland. I was personally not expecting her performances to be such a highlight, but she wowed me and brought the passion on a level that was inspiring.

Haha, I totally forgot one of my favorite moments of the San Jose show, when he referenced Oakland during "Cool". "I might dance all night in Oaktown.."

Seriously, the San Jose crowd was just all around lame compared to Oakland. Me and my group were practically the only ones up and dancing in our section. He was totally feeling the love in Oakland, and I thought it was very coy of him to reference it.

In terms of san jose audience. I was dissappointed as well. I felt like the only one that cared about certain songs. And some people even left early. I coulndt see the other bay area ones cuz I was away at school sad my dad said the Oakland ones were crazy. I figured that. Oakland is crazy about everything.

I wanna see prince again! The show was still great with the few negatives

The tickets sold out before I could get one. But I went down there anyway hoping they might have some extras to sell t the box office. The place was full to capacity so they weren't letting anyone else in, not even VIPs who arrived late. I hung out on the sidewalk with some other diehards and could hear the songs being played inside. When people left early, they let some of us hanging around go in (still had to pay full price, but it was worth it to me just for the experience). I missed seeing the first 6 songs, but got to see the final 1.5 hours.

Taking my kids and getting 3rd row seats right by where Prince entered the arena

Seeing Strange Relationship in person

I don't have time to listen to new music, I've got too much old Prince to discover. Classic example : I was at club Nokia at the midnight show and didn't know "In a large room with no lights" . . . my bad Prince

I went to Oakland, San Jose and LA shows. Highlights for me were:

- Hearing him do 'The One' on May 5--I nearly got an attack of the vapors touched

- When he opened with Laydown/She's Always in My Hair/Future Soul Song on May 6

- Anytime he performed 'If I Was Ur Girlfriend'--I freaking love that song live. Every time.

- Mary J. and Prince doing 'Sweet Thing' and 'Nothing Compares to U' on May 28

- 'The Beautiful Ones' and full performances of 'Raspberry Beret' at San Jose shows and 'Hot Thing' in the sampler set

- 'Everyday People'/'Alphabet Street' jam with Larry Graham in Oakland

- 'Guitar'/'Anotherlover'/'Shh' in Oakland

OK enough... no doubt I could go on like this biggrin

The most powerful moment for me was during" Sometimes It Snows In April" on April 14th. I'm not quite sure, but I think that was the only time I cried during the 21 Night Stand. I was mesmorized by the way Prince sang the song and then I thought about several close people to me that have passed. I had to change seats, because I was crying so much.

My favorite moment was losing myself in Prince's music at the Troubadour late show. As great as April 14th was, I was not convinced that Prince could deliver a performance like that on May 11th. He totally smashed any and every doubt I had about him, about music, and about anything related to both. The level he went to causes me to at least consider an excuse for any flaw he might have shown elsewhere, because he showed none that night.

My foundest memories will include Mary J, an artist that won me over for a night, to inspire Prince to sing Nothing Compares 2 U so well, Prince helping Stevie Wonder into his place on stage, Whole Lotta Love (Prince/Nikka Costa), and sharing so many of these concerts with family and friends (new and old). I have a bunch of other great memories that I'll try to add later.
