Somebody tell Prince that if he plays no medleys or fragments of songs, and does a full 1999, Raspberry Beret, or Doves Cry, I will wave my cell phone back and forth when he asks this time!

haha, seriously. after seeing the setlist and reading reviews of the first HOB show, i don't know why he thinks he can't get away with 10 or 15 minute DMSR opener at an arena show.

would minds be blown and faces melted? sure. but thats a small price to pay to have 16,000 people get down even harder.

I think a heavy funk/rock jam would go down better than the backup singer solo songs, or the Quiet Storm jazz moments that he does at the Forum.

Since you're into Phish..... I think he's a little like Trey: if he would plan out his sets a bit more and apply himself, he could blow the roof off every night. But I think he does a little bit of just showing up sometimes and winging it. (But same as Phish, that's still better than 99 percent of the scripted shows you'll see.)

*bows before the crowd* this is my final show for this tour and prob the next few years. I've enjoyed the ride and I am thankful for the experience. Now its time to get back to working on my schoolwork so I won't be stressed out when I do.

I don't mind the quiet storm jazz moments, but it's obvious the crowd does. I'm a big Deadhead, there was nothing in the world better than those quiet moments where the entire stadium would be hanging on every note Jerry played. Of course when Prince does something like in an arena with 17000 drunk people wanting to hear the songs they know from radio it just doesn't quite have the same reaction...

So....when are those $25 seats going to drop? I notice all the stubhub seats have suddenly vanished save for a handful.

Really wish I'd bought Colonnades earlier to be safe! I got a buddy visiting tonight and we want to see Prince! (But not enough to pay $350.)

I called TM 800-745-3000 just now and got a Purple Pit ticket for $25. Yesterday, there some great seats Loge available online at TM for $181... I bet any of those that haven't been sold will be released soon.

it could mean a number of things. these scalpers and "ticket agencies" love to play games. in fact, they'll buy each other's tickets at ridiculous prices and then put them up for resale to show a false demand.

they could have also taken down to just try and get rid of at the venue or on craigslist.

They probably sold. Usually their tickets "disappear" at 5:30 on show day, which indicates they haven't sold. Be advised a lot of the tickets on Stub Hub are from scalpers.

Well, it could be that one scalper had a whole bunch on there and pulled them. But.... I am more likely to believe these tickets are put on there by Ticketmaster or the band's promoters. Now it's too late so they're pulling them to sell them somewhere else: Ticketmaster itself, venue, whatever.

It's apparently common practice now for bands to scalp their own seats. Not saying Prince is (or isn't), but many other bands are doing this now.

Anyway my hope is those tix being pulled will be dumped into the $25 pool!

stubhub is back up to 40 tix, starting at 49 for purple pit.

the fire sale is about to begin w/ the scalpers sitting on at least a thousand $25 seats.

do u guys trust this stabhub website? I need tix but i dont know how that works, how do i receive tix, shall i trust who's selling? Any suggestion is much appreciatedg

stubhub is legit and guaranteed. if for some reason the ticket doesn't work, is fake, or whatever the reason may be, they have connections and will get you tickets as good or better. they have the seller's information and will charge the seller whatever amount stubhub has to pay in order to get you into the show.

i personally have never had a problem buying from their site.
