Heyy!! Yeah I went!! No Jay-Z or Beyonce, the scalper character was full of it. But the show was great. Lots of jamming. Guest vocals by the cute chick with the afro who is not Esperanza Spalding -- apologies for forgetting her name. I did not see Bono in attendance so cannot verify that. I did talk to Dr Funkenberry briefly, and met some cool Prince fans at both shows. Met Mike Philips at the Foundation Room show, too.

The show let up around 4am. So of course I got to work at 4pm today. Eek!

Nice thank u. I have more ?'s How come u didn't see much more? Dark & crowded like Show 2? What was the room set up? Tables for celebs? Standing room for most? Sounds like the jamming, guitar, bass, vibe was goooood like u said. More Renato than the other 2 shows? Sorry u got to work late! I probably wouldn't have made it either.

I'm a tall guy but... standing room only. It takes only a few people in front of you to not be able to see anything. I caught glimpses of the band here and there. And danced here and there. No lights on the bandmembers either. (Or at least, not much.) Mike Philips had his own little mini-stage, so we could see him more, but he joined the band in their area (on the floor) for a lot of the show too.

I'm not sure if it was more Renato or not... but I can always use more Renato!!

I do remember when the band was finished & gone, someone requested "Sampler set encore!!" and that made me laugh.

So last night was amazingly awesome and fun...thanx to bronzefunk I scored a ticket for 7pm show w/out fees cause he's awesome like that...then I scored a $107 ticket for 2nd show....from being 5 feet away from Prince at times at both shows, his amazing set list at show 2, the DMSR funkfest for what seemed like a half hour, the guitar pick I scored from a Prince Security guy, the awesome fans I met & partied with, shaking RENATO'S hand outside by the back, telling Shelby James she's awesome to her face and her saying she liked my beret, seeing Prince walk by me from 3 feet away when he left 2nd show, the whole night was epic for me.....yet.....I hate myself because I could have scored the last show wristband for $100 but, I. ran. out. of. cash. I know it would have worked cause it worked for 2nd show. The whole night would have cost me $407 total for all three shows.

I hate myself:disbelief: but, I did drop off my son for school and make it into work today (so I could sit here at my desk and post about last night) and I'm not sure if I'd have made it if I left HOB at 4AM or 5AM so I guess it's ok, but I truly missed a chance of a lifetime so I am beyond bummed...and then I remember something amazing from last night and I'm happy again. I will be bipolar for a while I guess and should just accept that.

i was up front for 3rd show, Bono definitely was there standing near that platform where Mike sax player was playing. He was swaying and singing along - seemed to love the (what's the bald girl's name) rippin' rocking jam and like us kept looking back n forth to prince, keyboard, sax, singers as all was amazing to watch. Bono only stayed first hour maybe but he stood there a while

that's how i went...

it was a guy selling un-used wristbands. In hindsight it was too sketchy, I guess the guy's brother worked security at the venue. Again in hindsight that is probably not cool.

But it worked. Last minute decision and I missed a chunk of the show, but still got in..

What was weird was that antoinet and I went to the box office, after midnight, to see if the 3rd set price had dropped.. they told us, still $500. And now I hear that they were selling online for $200, at the last minute? What's up with that?

They were real. He may have said "hearts" but the one that I bought from him definitely had diamonds. (I still have it!)
