After 92 shows the best ever live duet happened at The LA Forum on 4/28/11! A must read!!

After 92 (yes 92) live Prince shows that started in Louisville, Kentucky on December 30th, 1981 and has continued for 30 years from Louisville to Detroit, Baltimore, Rome. Milan, Las Vegas, Montreux, etc... until the most recent concert at The LA Forum on April 28th, 2010, an incredible and defining moment transpired that will stick in my mind forever!

I have not seen this mentioned on this forum so far and I am shocked!

The very best single song performance that I have EVER witnessed came to life on Thursday night at The Forum in Los Angeles. Ironically enough it wasn't during the main performance of Prince and The NPG. This incredible event took place when Prince appeared on stage to accompany Cassandra Wilson for a duet of When Were Dancing Close And Slow. The talent and expression of love that Prince brought to that duet live was breathtaking! It brought me, a 46 year old male from Louisville, KY to his knees and actually made me shed a few tears.

Thank you Prince for that moment!!!

P. S. I was the guy in Charlotte that Prince handed his guitar to. Before the show in LA I was the first one in the Forum and headed right to the floor...Prince rode by me on his bicycle. I thanked him for handing me his guitar in Charlotte and he looked at me and said "Thanks for handing it back"! This was the first time I have talked to him in over 6 years! Then the duet came that really made this whirlwind 28 hour trip from Kentucky worth it! If anyone has any pictures or video of Prince handing me his guitar please, please email them to mcsword@aol.com. Feel free to facebook me as well! (gary hirsch louisville ky)

Thanks in advance, Gary Hirsch

Hoping for Cassandra Wilson for the May 29th show. Anyone who missed the April 28th, 2011 show, missed a true opening act! Class act!
