I'm glad you made it back. Actually, tomorrow doesn't sound like much of anything to me, except for Prince passing time. I mean what does he want a trademark on "small venue?" This has a bunch of pissed off people written all over it.

All three? They're clearing out the venue after each one..? I've been to the HOB several times and if that's the case, it's going to be a nightmare re parking/waiting/etc. And with the short turnaround between shows, especially the second and third...either the sets are going to be short or no way they stick anywhere close to that schedule. But, makes sense for them to be all in one venue to cut down on travel time both for Prince and anyone trying to attend more than one.

There is a Bob Dylan 70th Birthday Bash scheduled for Weds 5/25 @ 8:30pm. Can't see it happening there...

Rock Bells Festival announcement and performances at 9pm at The House of Blues. Still could do the after midnight show there

You've inspired me, but not to the point of going for it, yet.

5/26 is our 20th anniversary and the flowers are set for delivery. She told me about two weeks ago that she didn't want to attend the Forum on that day (We are going Saturday).

After going to the Troubadour, I would love that experience again... and maybe twice in the same evening. The second being the couch tour.

My cousins are going for the first gig so at least I have the ride.

Most likely a two ticket limit.

one way to figure out where the club show is see who uses ticketmaster,the truobador doesnt so rule that out.house of blues does and is owned by livenation /tickmaster.so u can look that way

Okay...I am now officially in awe of Prince's energy and longevity! I am younger rhan he is and don't have half the battery power that he does! I am going this weekend--but I will miss these small gigs I would love so much to go to. For those who think that Prince doesn'tt care--I think he added these for the Twins' Mom.

The "auction" tab is a regular Ticketmaster thing. It's their way of "scalping" or letting folks participate in "after market" ticket sales.

That is correct. The reality is more and more artists are bypassing the secondary market and having TicketMaster, TicketsNow, and/or StubHub et. al. "Scalp" their tickets for them. In essence, they become the scalper. It's the 500 pound gorilla in the room that the artists don't want you to know about. In fact, many have a required allotment of tickets written into their contracts with the promoter/ticket distributor for this purpose. The "Platinum" seats that are offered by TM for the Forum shows? Proceeds go right into "The Artist's" pocket. The reason performers are doing this is so they don't alienate their fans by charging secondary market prices, so they hide behind the veil of the secondary market. Don't cha love irony?

Why oh why does this always happen a few days before payday when I am absolutely broke? I guess I will have to stick with the $25 Forum shows, but even those are stretching my budget these days!

wish they would announce more info about the charity event. $500 is a bit steep but if it includes dinner, it wouldn't sting so bad.

i wonder if he realizes how much purple panic is happening today and work productivity is non-existent. does he feel our pain?

dr. funkenberry thinks this weekend may be the last. if you do the math and count the 2 troubadour shows and the 3 shows tomorrow, we'd be at 21. you need to move that trip up if you can.

i really hope you're right, but i just panicked when i quickly did the math and im afraid this IS the last weekend of shows.

I DON'T AGREE. Like someone mentioned in an earlier thread 21 NITE stand not 21 SHOWS. I think he's got 3 more after Memorial Day Weekend.

Ugh,,,,I know..but it's also my BFF's birthday weekend, so we gonna party with or without the Purple One!! I saw him in Oakland so Im good. If he is performing the first weekend of June, it will be extra bonus awesomeness to our weekend...

I'll hold out hope that even if he counts the Troubador shows and the club show this wed, that those will count as only two "nites" in the "21 Nite Stand"

It isn't called a 21 Show Stand, so I think we'll get some more shows.
