PRINCE PLAYING DUBLIN 30TH JULY !!!

Prince is set to play a gig in Dublin this summer.

Prince - To play Malahide Castle on July 30

The artist will perform at Malahide Castle on Saturday, July 30 as part of his upcoming European tour.

Prince pulled out of a one-off show in Croke Park in 2008 just 13 days before the concert was due to take place, but promoters for this summer's gig have vowed he will not cancel this time.

A spokesperson for promoters POD and ICO Concerts assured fans that Prince was committed to the Irish leg of his tour, saying: "This is part of an overall tour - it's not a one-off gig."

Seating and standing tickets for the event go on sale this Friday, prices start at €89.50.

Prince's last gig in Ireland was at the Point in 2002.
