Opening Night LA 4/14 Versus HOB 2nd Set 5/25

This question was just posed to me and I thought it might make for an interesting discussion.

For those who were in attendance at both shows...which show did you enjoy the most, and why? Which one made the greatest impression upon you? Which one was "best" for you?

Hmmm, I would have to say the 4/14... Come on 6 encores? The Sometimes It Snows In April was a real transformative moment. I felt like I used to back in the day. By the end I was like what?....?

4/14 was amazing and I could see!!!

Last nights HOB 2 show was good, but due to the room, the lack of being able to see and the lack of real surprises I would say, I preferred 4/14 still... But HOB2 was musically much more loose improv and jamming. Like comparing a full concert with a long sound check smile

The feeling you get when...

(you squeeze your balls?) no that's not it...

Opening Night LA 4/14 was a 10. House of Blues, 2nd set 5/25 was a 7.

I'm not sure what anyone got out of the 5/25 2nd set that they didn't at 5/11 2nd set, since the only difference between those 2 were that the Troubadour show was twice as long, more songs were played, songs were played in full, room wasn't uncomfortable, technical issues did not occur, and there was a consensus feeling of amazement from the people at the show...oh besides the urge to say FU** HENDRIX. How could I forget? Well, they did say there were a lot of drunk people at the House of Blues last night, so perceptions could be warped.

But the question isn't compare those 2 shows, so yes, the performance at the Forum was much, much, much better. I think after people come to their senses about last night, they'll realize it was a great experience to have, but there were a lot of holes in what was presented.
