The icons are so big that they block out parts of the road.

You need to minimize the view that way it will all fit perfectly

I meant maximize | |

Thanks for listing Stuff I Eat in Inglewood. A great place to eat if you're Vegetarian/Vegan.

Thanks ! Is there anything you would add/change? Would you like this map to be editable by everyone?

Thank you ! Is that something the moderators will automatically do or should I just add a new thread there?

Oh! I don't know I don't know how that usually works... Mods, are you there!?? Hello!? Oh, blue light...

Nice job. You should add the LA Live, Congra Room, and Nokia Theater where he did the 3 concerts in one night in 2009 to promote Lotusflower.
And the Country Club in Reseda where he played after the MTV music awards. [Edited 4/27/11 16:22pm]

Awesome map. I was just going to mention Reseda Country Club but I see someone else just did. Is Glam Slam on there? I didn't see it.

i can't think of anything i'd change! i didn't think this kind of thing was possible .. it's very cute idea. it might be fun to have it editable by all & u can always change it back to uneditable if u are not happy with changes

That's a good point, I'm currently thinking about doing it, I'll decide soon

Send the mod for this forum (Carriempls) an orgnote requesting to make/keep it a sticky as long as the LA shows are going on. She did it for my thread that included directions/hotel/travel when the W2A shows were in the NY/NJ area.

No L.A.-area Prince-related map is complete without:
1) Sunset Sound, 6650 Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood. Outside of Paisley Park, Prince has probably recorded here more than anywhere else. (http://www.sunsetsound.com/)
2) Huntington Hotel, 752 South Main Street, Los Angeles. The hotel Apollonia stayed at in 'Purple Rain'. (http://en.wikipedia.org/w...m)#Filming)
3) Tatou Supper Club, 333 South Boylston Street, Los Angeles. This is the club formerly known as Glam Slam West.
4) 1235 Sierra Alta Way, Los Angeles. This is the '3121' house. (http://www.thesmokinggun....ce-edition)

Thanks for the advice ! By the way the map is now open for anyone to edit. I will make changes myself if I find it necessary.

Just wanted to suggest one correction: I'm pretty sure that Prince recorded at Sunset Sound at 6650 Sunset Blvd (and Cherokee), not at the Sound Factory on Selma. The two studios are run by the same company, and are close to one another -- and it looks like the Sound Factory location is the one that pops up on Google Maps when you enter "Sunset Sound" -- hence the potential for confusion?
Sunset Sound is a really non-descript building -- there are no obvious signs or markings unless you look through the gates at the back of the building, on Cherokee. I have a few pics of the studio (I live just a few blocks away) but am not sure how to post them on here.
Cheers! | |
