If you like having guitars thrown at you (and then taken back afterwards) and not being able to see Prince more than 50% of the time, then VIP is for you!

Have not tried these seats but from what I saw in Oakland, the stage is slightly above eye level for those at the VIP tables. Meaning you cannot see the whole stage, or Prince when he moves away from your side.

I suppose it could be cool to be close enough to touch the stage?

I wouldn't mind having Prince hand me his guitar, even if he does take it back later on. LOL The stage must be really high up if you can't see him all the time. I had a friend who went to one of the NC shows and she was behind the stage on the floor about 6th row and I asked her about it. She said she could see him fine all the time but I have heard of people complaining about not being able to see him.

I noticed when searching for purple circle VIP tickets....the VIP table areas are numbered ie VIP1, VIP2, VIP3, VIP4. The map does not accurately list which is which but when you do a search for tickets it gives the different areas. Does anyone know which area is which in the map? Is VIP 1 in the upper left corner, VIP 2 upper right, VIP 3 bottom left? Trying to figure it out....

I sat in VIP for 2 of the 3 Oakland shows.

In my opinion, Sections A and D on the floor at the GW Forum are the BEST sections. If you have aisle seats or are in the first row they are even better. You have a great view from there and you are pretty close to the stage. The VIP lounge isn't really a "lounge" per se, but it means that you get to have access to food/bevs without the long lines.

I opted not to get table seats because I didn't feel like they were worth the extra money. The tables are scrunched pretty close together, but they do afford a little more room to dance than the other seats. Some of them are right next to the stage and others are a little further away. The view and photo ops are great, but if you are really short you might not like it as much. When Prince is on the other side of the stage you can only see him from the waist up, or thereabouts. Others in this thread have said that you can't see Prince at all at times from the tables. They are WRONG. They don't know what they're talking about.

Another thing about the floor setup at these shows.... you absolutely do NOT want to be in sections E, F, G, H and J. That is, unless you want to be looking at Prince's back 95% of the time. You also do NOT want to be in any of the VIP sections that are near those sections.

Go for sections A, D or the VIP tables nearest to those sections. If A and D are not available, then B or C are also good. Seats in the first few rows of Loge 7-9 are also good.

Thanks for the info! Do you know roughly how many seats are in a row in A and D? I am search for tickets and Sec A row 5 seats 5-6 come up and I'm not sure if thats on the aisle. I'd prefer to have room to dance. I'm also still not sure where VIP 1, 2, 3, and 4 are amongst the table options in relation to the stage.

At the Oakland shows there were around maybe 12-14 seats in those rows. So, seats 5-6 are definitely not on an aisle, but I don't know exactly how many seats there are.

I couldn't find a seating chart that accurately defines the table sections. But, at the Oakland shows, VIP 1 and VIP 2 were the "good" VIP table sections. VIP 3 and VIP 4 were behind the stage so to speak. That doesn't mean they will do it the same way at the GW Forum by any means. I would either contact Ticketmaster by phone and ask them, or contact the venue box office when it's open. Someone will know.

My first NJ show I went for VIP table, great to be so close (& be invited to dance on the stage at the end) but .... i went for vip floor seat in sections A & B for the NY shows & they were better.

Not true. I have been VIP for 2 shows during W2A, and I think the seats are awesome!

You can see Prince almost the entire time because he stays towards the middle of the stage. You can see everything so much better, such as facial expressions and so on. I was lower level for one show, and where it was very good, I still enjoyed VIP MUCH better.

To each his own, though.

I had the table seats for one of my shows, and the 1st row VIP's for the other. Honestly, I enjoyed the table MUCH better...just because they really are not as scrunched as the floor seats were. We were all able to dance around and move. THAT was nice!

No, he normally chooses from one of the 4 VIP table areas.

Which VIP Area did you sit at? In the front by the arrow or in the back by the circle? Any idea if the seats at the "back" of the stage area as bad as some people say? Thanks!

In N. Charleston I was at table one, seat one... right next to the confetti cannon. And about 4 feet from Prince at one point. The stage is tall, but if you are 5' or so, you can still see all of the excitement. Trust me, I have two herniated discs and wanted to sit the entire time because of pain, but even at that I could see Prince wherever he went on stage. It is so much better seeing Prince up close and sitting on his piano. When he looks at you, winks or smiles... it is very much worth the money. I've been in all sorts of places at his concerts, and I will always take the vips from now on...
