Seriously. I'm flipping out here! Hopefully they'll be much more affordable than the past shows. Prince would be insane to charge too much for 21 nights in such a large venue.

Not all shows will be at the Forum- it will b the starting point. There will be various venues.

Wow, I can imagine the anxiety some LA fans are going through waiting for info on the concert. The Forum must be getting loads of phone calls about it, because, so far I noticed this is the message as of yesterday on the Forum's website:

Prince Announces L.A. Shows!!! Tix On Sale TOMORROW For First 3 At The Forum

Prince announced last week that he’ll be playing a Twenty One Night stand in the Los Angeles area as part of his Welcome 2 America concert tour. We got more details today in a press release from LiveNation. Highlights include:

- The first 3 shows will be at The Forum in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday, April 14, Thursday, April 21, and Friday, April 22. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, April 12 at 10am Pacific time via ticketmaster.com.

- In an effort to make the show affordable for all of his fans, Prince has declared that roughly 85% of all tickets will be available at $25, inclusive of all service fees.

No word yet on who the special guests will be for each show, but past artists in New York, Oakland and the Carolinas have included Esperanza Spalding, Maceo Parker, Graham Central Station, Santana, Lalah Hathaway, Cee Lo Green, Cassandra Wilson, and Sheila E.

So that’s 3 shows we know of so far, 18 more to go. LiveNation says that additional L.A. dates and special guests will be announced shortly. We’re loving those ticket prices because that means more purple hippies will be able to go multiple shows.

And don’t forget to tune into the Lopez Tonight show on TBS this Wednesday night to catch Prince and the NPG performing live.

When I first saw the "21 nights" thing, I said no fucking way. Some of those would have to be club dates. If he is selling 85% of the tickets for $25 though I can see how he could pull it off.

I've seen no confirmation of the $25 price though. At least not yet. Ticketmaster has no infor about these shows yet. Tomorrow morning, I guess.

I'm off work the week of 4/18 and I'm about 7 hours north of LA by car. FOr $25 a pop I might try to catch the shows on the 21st and 22nd.

The chart below is for the tickets on sale right now - allthough the Floor seats rows 1-10 the price got cut off - they are going for $1601!

The celebrities are going to be subsidizing "the people"'s cheap seats.

Also, no symbol stage so I am sure that cuts down on costs as well.

ticketmasters shows the symbol stage for the forum, tix are $25-$179
