Definitely a high-energy show on 2/7/11 @ MSG in NYC, that night, and that is the way he opened the show. He had the audience standing the majority of the time throughout his performance, and the audience demanded about 3 to 4 encores, and he delivered.

Uh oh. I'm going to have to watch this dvd tonight. I was trying to watch the W2A concerts in order, but now I gotta see what the buzz is about on 2/7. I was at the 12/17 and 12/18 shows. I still think 12/17 was the best. Gotta see if 2/7 will change my mind!

There is NO way in hell this is the new Dortmund (spell it correctly first before dismissing it)!!! I'm completely unimpressed with this show. Extremely boring and lifeless! The quality of the DVD itself is nice, don't get me wrong. Bravo to whoever made it! But for the actual show, I can't even finish watching it.

The Lovesexy show shits all over this mess, DVD quality-wise (Dortmund was professionally filmed) and definitely show content-wise!!

I really, really hate the live version of Laydown. That "bounce, bounce" section is just asinine.

Ok, I just watched the 2/7 show, and I disagree. I didn't like that medly part (half of which were tracks), and the celebrities were sort of pointless standing around on stage. The Laydown bounce didn't bother me so much. And I did like his performance with Cee Lo. Also liked Dreamer. But that wasn't enough to put it on top for me. 12/17 remains the best W2A show to me so far.

I don't do drugs, so I doubt I could ever say that the 2/7 MSG show is better than wherever in the world Dorthmund is...perhaps they mean Dortmund...if so, than NO! Even though there was a huge focus on Medleys for Lovesexy, the band was amazing, and at least the Lovesexy songs performed were mostly all in full. Save for a few performances of Laydown and Future Soul Song, Prince doesn't have the guts to perform a single song from 20Ten, and doesn't even have the guts to play anything post 1991 other than the few tiny examples of Shh, Dreamer, Guitar, and Musicology. Sure I might be leaving out a few others, but 95% of the show is 1980-1991. Yes that is Prince's best period, but to almost ignore the last 20 years makes no sense. He may as well take up in Vegas. At least when Elton John played all those shows in Vegas, he played new material.

Of course, even this watered down show is still Prince, still the best on the Planet, still the greatest show on Earth...but a tad annoying when we all know that he could do better. Even 954 year old Paul McCartney is playing sometimes 28 full length songs on his recent shows in the last 3 years. Dare I say Prince has never played 28 full length songs at any concert, as his tendancy to medley a crowd to death has become routine.

Why the bold type? Since I do take a bunch of potshots at Prince in this post, I still have to admit that he sometimes can do no wrong, even when he is on auto-pilot.

I disagree with the bold. I have seen so many shows better than when I saw Prince in 2009 where he performed the same set he's performing now, give or take a few covers and 30 minutes of Larry Graham or so.
