My Take on the evening:

The night started of with Layla Hathaway taking the stage around 7:40pm. She performed until about 8:15pm. Then Prince started at 8:36pm, the lights went down and the crowd goes crazy..litterally to Let's Go Crazy. Prince was wearing black pants, black jacket, and silver shirt. My first great moment was Extrodinary, a slow, jazzy groove. Prince sang it so passionately and it was the first time I've heard it live. That was such a treat because the song is so beautiful. Shelby J sang the hell out of Misty Blue. She has such a huge, powerful voice. Prince was dancing like crazy this evening. Uptown, COOL, Let's Work, U Got The Look just mad crazy dancing. Then Layla Hathaway came back out for SISIA and Prince joined her onstage, this was lovely. He went right into Purple Rain and the crowd was so interactive singing right along. It was so loud and he was loving the crowd interaction.

Encore #1 started with Kiss..my next great moment..Prince came out in the gold sequined pants and a white shirt. Prince pulled out the black bass guitar he took the pictures with for the Welcome 2 America promo pics and came right to our side of the stage and started jamming on the bass during the beginning of Kiss. This was an awesome moment for me because my husband loves Prince on bass and for him to pull out the bass and play right there in front of us. Just an awesome and unexpected moment in time. Of course Prince danced his way through Kiss and the dance at the end did not dissapoint.

Prince then went into the sampler series and OMG! It was great! He got to Darlin Nikki and said he couldn't do that he was in Rehab too funny. He jammed Hot Thing! Yeah when was the last time you heard that live. Then went straight into If I Was Your Girlfriend, Insatiable, Scandalous, and Adore. The last three another great moment!! He was so HOT and so sexy that he had us females in the palm of his hand. Adore had some hot piano action with Prince on his back and then to his stomach just teasing all of us.

Encore #2

Controversy with Sexy Dancer (Le Freak) going on..he had us repeating some Prince screams, sounds, moans, and all..the crowd was so into it..the faces he was making when we were reacting to him was like so sexy..I described it on facebook as like having concert sex with Prince...just so hot!! Then he busts into a killer version of Peach!! He said, "the kind of women i like are Peaches" and then started this jam. He was on fire!! He then tied it back into Controversy and said the rest of the country wants to see me too!

Altogether was a great night! I sat blown away for a few hours after wondering how he fit all those songs into that show..he did great hits and rare jems, hot jams and sexy grooves..the man was on fire and could defintlely felt the love of North Charleston..He said more than once, "You are gonna feel real good tomorrow and so am I"..and he was right..next day there was a definite Prince afterglow going on. We (me, the hubby, and Sandy) went to breakfast and met our new friend, Donna Marie..we all looked like we just experienced a great satisfying night of pleasure...honestly it was too funny and we laughed about it too..Prince is the man! Always has been always will be!

Now waiting patiently for some Florida dates! Bring it on Prince, I'm ready for round 3!

Wow!! It sounds like he shut it down in Charleston. I am glad you all had such a great time and that Prince is still putting on a such great shows after all these years.

Better late than never, my pics from the concert. I was in section 134, three rows back off the ground floor. I had a great view of the piano side of stage, and was able to get 45 mins. of video on my Evo. This is my 7th Prince concert and was the closest I've ever been to the stage.
